I didn't get to read at all! Which is very rare for me. But the weather outside was beautiful, so I spent the weekend doing yardwork and playing with the horses. Then had family over last night for the Superbowl. I was so exhausted yesterday! I'm apparently really out of shape. Lol. Anyways, I'm still waiting on my book-of-the-month to arrive, so just casually reading this and that right now. What is everyone else reading at the moment?

Still reading the book on Donkeys, and my monthly magazines (I'm behind). And, waiting is a stack of information horse books to read; seems that is all I read these days, but its what I like.

I just started "Heart of Ice" by Gregg Olsen. Only 100 pages so far but it's great (if you like suspense).

I'm reading Animals in Translation by Temple Grandin. It is so good, very interesting. I had the opportunity to see Dr. Grandin speak a couple weeks ago for the second time, and I ordered two of her books as soon as I got home.

Chanda, those seem like awesome things to read.

MountainWoman, I love suspense! I've never heard of that book before. Gonna have to look into it.

Its about all I read. Like I said, I have a stack of books to catch up, pretty much all horse information books of some sort. And, then my magazines: just finished my last issue of Arabian Horse World (got a sub for Christmas 2011), my AQHA newsletter and AMHR Journal; plus a stack of old issues of "The Brayer" to go through (just bought these).

Reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. It is a good read.

I loved this book! It was such a good quick read. My FIL just retired last year and he was sitting around relaxing so I sugested this and he said ok( shocked

). He read it in a few days and said that was pretty good, out of his comfort zone, but good. This is coming from a guy who only read westerns!! LOL! Not sure if there is another book but if so I'd buy it for a fun read!

I'm so glad to hear it's good. I want to read it but I kept putting it off. Did you get the actual book with pictures included?

It is on my Kindle Fire and has the photos on the kindle.

I bought the actual book! Pictures are great! I think they add a great deal of interest to an already neat book!

eta: I only buy actual books you can touch. LOL! I don't have any type of reader for on line. I'd like to have one but it's not in the cards right now!

I didn't keep track of the dates, but I think that over the weekend through the wee hours of this morning, I finished Victoria Laurie's "Ghost Hunter" books. I enjoyed all of them (seven so far). Some of them felt a little "Scoobie Doo", but honestly, I still liked them!!! I think the weekend contained #6, and this morning concluded #7. which is the most recent...

So now i need to pic a new book. Probably the lastest Stephanie Plum book from Janet Evanovich (???). I have several stand alone books my mother has recommended, a couple books from series I've read before, and then a HUGH collection I've kind of been hordeing (those J.D. Robb "In Time" books). Gosh, I love to read and I love knowing I have lots of books waiting to be read

Me too Jill! I have so many books I need to read, but that doesn't stop me from buying even more that will sit on my shelf until I get to them. I think I seriously have a problem! Lol
