Oh my gosh Marsha, if I can find them ( I know they are here somewhere ) I will send you my Great Grandmas collection. She, as the story goes, started making here own clothes when she was a very young girl and also collected buttons. I was given about 3 thick books ( almost like scrape books that she had carefully sewn and labled all sorts of funky looking ones to. A also have about a ten pound box of all old buttons that she had saved over the yrs. She passed away about 40 yrs ago when she was 101 so that will give you an idea of how old these buttons are.
I on the other hand have no intrest in buttons or sewing...Ive tried giving them to other family members but no one seems to want them. No desire to sell but if there are actually people out there that do collect vintage buttons I would love to give them away.Let me go look for them.
I love hearing about other hobbies. Do you sew too?
