Calling all color experts!?! I need help identifying what color my guy is

I know it doesn’t REALLY matter but I’m just so curious at what color my boy Dakota is so if you have any ideas please let me know. I added two pictures of his parents just in case that will help you genetically speculate. Thanks for any information you can give me.

Likely silver buckskin. The silver gene dilutes black pigment to various shades from flaxen to a chocolately color. They come in many shades, but looks silver buckskin to me.

I'm also seeing silver. Buckskin is as good a guess as any. I feel like that's really light for a buckskin, but his daddy is really light for a buckskin too.

One of these is right when we brought him home never clipped in his life, the other is a picture of him with a fairly long coat. But as much as I’ve looked into it I am thinking that he is buckskin = bay base + cream & silver dilution

Yep definitely silver buckskin, I should have looked closer, he looked clipped in one so I assumed he was in several, now that I blow them up on my computer I see he is not. Silly me.

Me too, elizabeth.conder. I think I guessed chestnut roan in another thread. Seeing sire and dam adds me to the silver buckskin boat. I hope it's a big one or we'll all sink!
