Is it just me or does anyone else feel that the amount of money being spent on this campaign is totally obscene??? I definitely think there should be a limit imposed on any candidate.

“According to research firm Campaign Media Analysis Group, a subsidiary of TNS Media Intelligence, which tracks ad spending, more than $1.8 billion has already been spent on political ads this year. That breaks the record of $1.7 billion in advertising expenditures from 2004. These figures include spending on local and national network TV and national cable, but not local cable. And with a few days left before Election Day, Evan Tracey, the chief operating officer of TNS Media Intelligence-CMAG, said that political spending is on track to reach $2 billion this year.”

Yes I think it is totally rediculous. I do think there should be a cap on it. Just think of all the poor little children that amount could feed or clothe. If people want to be charitable give their money to something that makes sense. This doesn't. Absolutely rediculous.

In my mind, it is a sign of the world we live in...

Too much money earned and then WASTED on this and many other things...

The amount of junk mail I get every week could feed a family, from the paper, printing, postage, and the worthlessness, everybody burns it or throws it away anyway-What a HUGE waste...

I think its rediculous too, wayyyy too much spent. But, if you look at it in a different way, its one year of a campaign to decide whether we keep spending 5 times that amount each month for a War. Not being snarky, just putting things into perspective.
