Cart mounted shooting?

I don't think this would be optimal. In ridden shooting, you still have your entire body connected to the horse for control and communication. If you drop the lines in driving to shoot, you have nothing to communicate with the animal.

I do know a lady who fashioned a chariot and thought she would do driven archery. She found the exact issue. As soon as she dropped the lines to shoot, she had no control over the pony. Sure looked cool though!
 
Hmm, archery you need 2 hands, but if you could drive with one hand you could shoot with the other. Just teaching your horse to handle the shooting should be no problem, but I've never seen it as an organized sport. The mounted shooting people have been very chill and would probably let you do a couple practices with your mini in hand, which would probably get yours used to shooting in case of snakes!
 
I believe the group was Single Action Shooters society. Not 100% certain. At one time they had rules for the driving shooting, I don't know about now, but maybe a place to start.

I always thought it would be fun.

That's the coolest thing I've ever seen!!! I love mules.
