Clipping Lesson

Well, I entered my horses in an April show. Being new to showing I was so anxious I wouldn't have time to get everything done. So--I began clipping my horses last week when it was 80 degrees. Since then we have had rain, freezing temperatures and now snow. I do not have indoor stalls, and hadn't invested in blankets, so I was pretty desperate to spare my horses from my lack of foresight. Here is another use for old army blankets and duct tape. And another lesson I have learned.

LOL good thinking. The first piece of knowledge any self respecting horseman, farmer or redneck learns is how to use bailing twine and duct tape to fix anything :lol: :aktion033: I've been there done that myself on the clipping thing. I am fortunate enough to have a heavy duty machine and material on hand, but I will have to keep this idea in mind. never know when it might come in handy.....hey, maybe it just gave me an idea for my next costume.... :bgrin

Now, there's one of the reasons why we dislike the "early" shows even though we "can't wait" for show season to begin each year :lol:

Boy you read my mind, and put my mind back into resting LOL!!! I too am very impatiently waiting in WI for weather to warm up, we're still in the 30's and have a couple days of 40's coming up this weekend but that's IT! What in the world happened to spring???

I am so anxious to at least clip heads...come ooooon spring, come on warm weather!

Great job with the make-shift blankets =) twin and duct tape...who could live without them?
