So Saturday morning, my sister and I woke up and decided to take Ariel to a small community parade here in town. We decked her out in pretty roses and ribbons, then walked her the miles or two down the road to the start of the parade. Ariel did great for not having been out the last few months. She took the bikes, people, scooters, dogs, balloons, and noise all in stride. Let the kids fawn all over her, even allowed the adults to get their pats in. We had a great time and we're already planning on next years event. Thinking I'll have Ariels son, Chip, trained to drive and we will have them cart us up and down the streets.

Here are a few pictures that I snapped...For 16 years young, she looks pretty darn good.

Wonderful way to spend the 4th of July a parade with your horse in it.

Ariel wasn't so sure about the preparations for the event but was obviously enjoying all the attention it brought. The girls had a good time with her and for Ariel she was on her best behaviour.

I must say though she is not qualified to be a Service animal. She saw a little wee girl standing with her mom and zoned in instantly on the lollipop in her hand and was going for it. Because of that she had to stand there nice with the little girl on her back while her family took lots of pictures. But they had a great day and as Erin said are preparing for next year.

Now you tell me does this girl look happy with her horse?
