I never thought that this would happen to me; I consider myself pretty scam-proof. But I was really really stupid. I should have known better.
I was looking at my statement today and noticed this $39.95USD charge this month. I had no idea where it came from. I was thinking back to the Royal etc. Nope. Then I look online at my statement and look at Oct., same charge; Sept., same charge; Aug., same charge!!!! I'm like, WHAT THE $#^$!? So I call Mastercard and they told me to call the company. So...this company is a video site; you can watch movies etc. on it. I called them and was telling them that I had no idea etc. etc....Then I remembered, vaguely, going on this site to watch True Blood because the FREE site that I watch was down or something. Now, to join you had to give your credit card # but wouldn't be charged after the free month, unless you wanted to continue with the service. I'm such an idiot; I, normally, would know not to give credit card info unless I was buying something and my intuition was telling me that something was fishy. I watched one episode on the free trial and then they took the liberty of charging my credit card for a PREMIUM membership for 4 months! They are, now, refunding my money and cancelling my membership. Thank God! She was so blase on the phone, that you could tell it was a regular occurence. The company is called PushPlay.com. Beware.
