Liberty at Congress is always 1 or 2 am. I remember trying to wake Patches up to show in it one year lol.

LOL, I always laugh at the time we were at AMHR nationals and I went to get Shimmer and she was on her side in the stall chasing bunnies!!!! it was cute, I hated to wake her but I did.. She ran one of her best Liberty runs.

I didn't tune in until what I thought would be time for my horse........What happened to make it run SO late? I mean, at 7p.m. they were just going on afternoon classes so naturally the afternoon classes didn't end until after 10.

Way late! Kind of glad I'm here in CA for once... at least it's a couple hours earlier to watch!

I see there were 28 entries which takes some time to get thru. Someone on FB said they were still going a couple hours ago but I cant get the live feed to work.

In all the years I have been going to congress this always happens. Not sure if its because of the driving classes? Usually get a lot of gate holds etc during the driving portion.

The last 2 I attended I skipped liberty as I had mares to show the following morning.

It wasn't the driving that got things behind. The morning session didn't end till almost 7:30!!!!! Afternoon session started after 8. They had a neat demonstration by a draft pony club during that time. Showed a lot of different ponies driving different types of vehicles. They did a good job and it was interesting. They announced that they had been there since 9am waiting to do the demonstration.

Those times are my time in KY. I'm pretty sure Iowa is an hour behind me. So 6:30 and 7:00. Still crazy!!!!

I think Liberty normally runs around 11pm'ish at Congress....This year it went to 4am and that is not the norm really.

They put all the jumper and hunter classes yesterday at 8am, NO idea why they put the jumping classes at 8 FREAKING AM....why not put that stuff on Saturday when we have more time? I think that was part of what put everything behind, if they had not had that first time in the morning on stallions day, it would have kept them a little more on schedule I think. That wasn't the reason they were so far behind, I think its wonderful as that means entries were good - and they were!!

The draft pony demo was pretty neat! I had asked Mark if they were still going to do it considering how late they were running, and they did and I actually really liked it!
