Hello everyone, I had a vet out for Delilah today and she has laminitis, he gave me some medication obviously for her pain! its been a few hours and she is doing great! Im excited to see her back to herself! Also has anyone had to give their mini ThyroKare? he said Delilah was over weight so he gave me a supplement. Does anyone know how I give to her? it says to soak it in water but I'm wondering if I give her it in water or put it in very little oats with water

Hi, I googled ThyroKare because I had not heard of it or what it was for , so I'm of no help. I am glad Delilah is feeling better. Hopefully someone knows about this product and answers your question.

Nope that's okay, I honestly never heard of it either until my vet told me about it. Thank you anyway :)

I’m sorry to read that, Taylor, but am glad you have a diagnosis. We had a horse on thyroid medication years ago, also connection with laminitis , and it helped with the overall treatment program.

Mixing itwith her oats sounds like a good idea. If she refuses that, I wonder if you soaked her daily dose and then fed it to her by hand mixed with small treat?

I did do her dose and put some oats in it, she actually ate her oats. She can't have a lot of oats sadly because she is overweight my vet said. I feel awful cause that's her favorite thing. Thank you so much for giving me some ideas that helped me out greatly :)

We had one, not sure what the medication was as it was a boarder, who needed tablets soaked in warm water and then given via syringe orally. Maybe phone your vet's office for more clarification.

Best wishes!
oh my I didn't even think about a syringe. that'd also be a great idea thank you!
