Destiny Finished His Halter Hall of Fame TODAY

I talked with Erica a little while ago and we have some good news about our stallion, Erica's Echos of My Destiny.

Destiny looks to have completed his Halter Hall of Fame today. He closed out last year with more than the required 5 overall grands under his belt, but he lacked 6 points.

At a show last weekend (three judges), he got 2 Firsts, 1 Second, 1 Senior Champion, 1 Reserve Senior Champion & 1 Overall Grand. Today (two judges), he got 2 Firsts & 2 Senior Champions! This combined gave him more than the points he was looking for (unbeknownst to Destiny himself!).

However, I'm too far away to lay a hug on him -- which may be just as well for now

: When I got to meet him, and show him in color class last year, he was a big handful for me! He kept trying to BITE me all during the class!!!!!! :bgrin :bgrin :bgrin I was trying to walk him as far away from me as I could and trying not to giggle. I noticed one of the judges was smirking at me. I mean, Destiny was BAD but OMG so so SOOOOO full of himself it was hard not to giggle! He'd been really good for Erica but not "knowing" me really, he sure wanted to see what he could get away with and there in the show ring in front of God and everyone else, there's not much I could do but laugh at how he carried on!

See... Here I had to stop and show my number and he figured he could go on and get him a bite at last. Possibly out of pity (though of course, Erica had him so glowing and fit), we did win the class. When he is here this fall, my first hug sessions with him will be very cautious!
