Another post made reference to the availability of ivermectin dewomer paste which is $3.39 on the Jeffers site. How do these tubes compare to the tubes that I pay $18. Cdn for? Just used up 9 tubes today. I use about 30 tubes a year and that would save about $400. What is wrong with this picture?

We use the wormer your describing, It seems to work just fine.... We live 30 minutes from Jeffers so we are regular customers there.... Its heaven having them this close to us

Ivermectin is ivermectin. The concentration is the same in the generic you get from Jeffers as what I'd pay $10 or more for at the feed store. ALSO for like 10 cents more, now you can by Bimectin from Jeffers which is the same concentration of Ivermectin but is clear and supposedly apple flavored. It does smell good. I've been ordering Ivermectin at $3.50 or so from Jeffers a long time.

You might also try Country Supply. Country Supply

I order most of my wormer from them and they seem to have the lowest prices overall. Check out the price on the generic Strongid (pyrantel)!

I buy the generic ivermectin now too. When a patent runs out on a medication, human or animal, then other companies are free to supply it under a different name. Just check to make sure that it has the same percentage of the drug in it as the original, and save yourself some money!

I remember around the time when Zimectrin came out; I believe it was the first ivermectin paste for horses. It was over $10/tube like 19 years ago (it probably came out before that - I've been using ivermectin since I got my first horse almost 20 years ago). Now, you can buy generic for less than $4/tube and Zimectrin is still $8-10 per tube ($8.00 on the KV vet supply website).

I just got a great deal with American Livestock supply!!

Am loving the low prices for the wormers.

l was thinking of ordering from Jeffers in the new year and l know they ship up here so for worming paste l pay 18 bucks for a tube would still be under 5 with the M exchange and then just shipping on top. Has anyone from Canada tried the Jeffers worming paste and how was it......that's a big savings in a year on paste.

We just wormed with the Bimectrin at 3.69 a tube, no problems and we noticed on just a couple, thank goodness, it did its job. We just wormed 23 minis, 3 mini donkies, and 1 Morgan mare with it. Bought 12 tubes.

I am a Jeffers user. Always have been satisfied with their products and prices.

I just wormed my whole herd with the Bimectin from Jeffers and my horses loved it!

And thanks, Becky, for the tip on the generic Strongid..........I had not known that.

I, like Becky, buy all my wormers through Country Supply, I buy all the generics. I also buy my MarePlus and Corta-Flex supplements from them, lower prices than anyone elses.

I have also purchased from Jeffers, and of course Valley Vet.......no problems with either company.
