Sue..no new saddle..the one I am using is a Shively 2000, a state of the art SaddleSeat Cut back that is like sitting in a LazyBoy! It has a wide tree, and with the cutback it doesn't come anywhere near the withers..bonus.

Diarmuid is like riding on your couch..he's soooo smooth, like floaty! He is VERY well trained, as in he knows what direct and indirect rein and leg pressure are (another bonus!).

I have not ridden in 8 years..I had a blast..now with all this ICE (darn it), I haven't done a thing with him because he came with nice front shoes ..but no corks so he can't go out at all..he's sooo sad..looking out the door with his big sad eyes. BUT we're getting a blast of snow (10-15cm) so hopefully he can go out soon. Blacksmith comes next Monday too...

I just LOVE him to bits...I could have a WHOLE bunch of them

Now you need a Caravan. This is the most wonderful breed. I stumbled onto this forum looking at Vanners [from Freelands].

I didn't mean to say I didn't like your saddle...it just looked "different" to see a saddle of that type on a horse of his type...

Geesh...too bad I don't have my English all-purpose saddle anymore...it would have fit both of you like a glove.

Wow!! Very nice Kim!
