Do solid tires last?

I'm so sick of regular tires, they're always flat when I turn around.
I use it for moving halloween decor.
So, I'd like to get tires I'll never have to worry about again, at least not every bloody week!
Anyone know how long solid rubber ones last?
How do you measure to fit new sizing? I want to up the diameter, as you can see, there is some space before the metal blocks it. And it's not a typical type, just holes in metal holding the center, so I could potentially widen if necessary. Idk all the right terminology.

Have you tried to slime your tires? I'd bought a bottle last fall and did all of mine and didn't have a single flat this year. Just two got low when the weather cooled down. Looks like you have a problem with seating on your rims. Perhaps your inner tubes need to be replaced?

There is no inner tube. Have done slime on other wheels, mower, but I want a permanent fix. Didn't come with any and haven't seen any bikes with that.

My sister has solid wheels on her cart. They would probably outlast you.
I have tires with heavy duty tubes with slime. The only thing that happens with them is if I let the air get low the valve stem will fail. I've run over mesquite thorns and punctured the tire/tube. Pull out the thorn and they reinflate perfectly.

Anyone know how to measure for solid tires?
I want to go as big as that gap allows. But I guess the axle?? will limit that, too.
And where do you buy them at? Hmmm
Actually, can't you just buy the tread and replace just that??

Hmm, well, there are tubes. And the way it connects...is not the same as all other carts. Crud.
I think I should be able to just buy new bike rims, spool, idk what its called. Then add the solid rubber to it. Doesn't look like I can add real cart wheels on this thing.

Less than a half inch gap. No bottom.


11 & 3/4 inch from center to the bar that stops wheel. 22in sizing, then? Guessing 23" doesn't exist.

It looks like a fairly standard bike rim to me. If the tire doesn't say the size on it, you can just measure straight across the entire rim, pretty sure it's the inside measurement. Do you have a local bike shop? That is probably where I would start.

Reading about it, I don't think it'd work.
There's also a dicks sporting store, but no solid rubber, even on their website.

That place doesn't look super helpful. I've seen solid rubber tires for wagons, not bike rims. I wonder if you need to get wooden rims?

Try solid rubber bike tires on amazon. I see them there, and it shows how to measure it.

Found a different shop an hour+ away. Messaged them. They'll look to see what they can find.

Got the wheels off to measure more. Seems I could go max 23".
Told him I'm looking for just rubber for the 20" or wheel & rubber, if he can find 22-23" that fits this odd situation.
1.5" in height doesn't seem like a lot, but when compared to a 38" horse, its a lot. Plus, if I'm buying new rubber, might as well try for new wheels while I'm at it.


Old ones are 20".
