Awww I wish I had gotten closeup pictures... but the Jerald I had for miniatures had gold and silver pinstriping (three pin stripes, two silver on the outside and a gold stripe between them). It was the BEST advice I had ever gotten when I had it custom ordered!

Here is a picture, it's not a show ring picture or a closeup picture, just my husband driving a mini in it in bad lighting, but better than nothing?

I have both on my cart, and agree, the best advice I was given when buying one. I don't have a close up picture either, but here is one of mine

THANK YOU, BOTH for posting! Looks like your shaft tips are based on the color of horse you show the most.

Echo does yours have 2 stripes or 3, what size horse were you driving and what was the wheel size what kind of cart is yours?

Disney how tall was the horse your hubby was driving and what size wheels were they?

Both are VERY pretty carts!

Andrea,

I love, love, love that cart, beautiful! What a nice picture.

Well that cart obviously needed the shafts dropped down a bit in that picture... the black/white pinto in that picture was 34"... the shaft length was a "B" size cart since I prefer horses 34-37" tall for driving... The shafts were 54", it was a convertible roadster cart, and the wheels were the smaller (I think 20" versus the 24" wheels that the open wheel carts come in).

The pinstriping is solid, you can see it is a solid bar. I prefer chrome on my harnesses and carts, it is MUCH easier to care for. Plus I prefer black based horses if at all possible (although a good horse is any color!). With the gold on the cart pinstriping though, you can easily put a brass harness on your horse and/or wear a gold colored shirt to make it tie in if I had a buckskin or sorrel or something of course.

I don't remember how many stripes my cart has off hand, and it is in storage for the winter. I don't remember if it had a silver between the gold, or one silver one gold. My guess would be one of each. I was driving a 32" gelding in that picture. Also I believe my tires are 24". My cart is a Graber. Only suggestion is I would get the upgraded wheels. I guess my wheels are the lower grade and have a dull finish. Even if I polish they don't have that nice silver shine. Personal preference, I think the upgraded wheels look much better in the ring. You can see the big difference between mine and the other cart that has been posted.

My tips I believe are silver. I don't think I decided this. When I ordered my cart, I was very new to minis. So I trusted the person I was ordering it from to make some of the decisions for me. At the time, my harness had silver hardware. But my new harness has brass. A couple of things I would do different...I like the bigger seats and the ones with a little back on them. I have a bad back so that helps. Also my son has started driving and I ride in the cart with him. He is 7 and has to sit between my legs. Not a whole lot of room. The bigger seat gives you that extra room. Also as I mentioned, the upgraded wheels. I really do like my cart, and it was much cheaper than a Jerald. Although I do love Jeralds and for something like nationals, I would really like to have a dash and the "extras" you can ad. It just gives a better look overall.
