Thanks in advance!

Oh... can I freeze them untill Christmas?!!

If I want easy-easy, I grab a box of cake mix.

Omit one of the eggs, half the water & oil (I actually use soda in place of oil- root bear and red velvet cake mix is very interesting) and whatever else. I like to toss in some peanut butter with yellow cake mix- it's a wickdly good combo.

The result is not a traditional cookie, but of a light, cake-meets-cookie and you can tinker with all kinds of combos.

For a "regular cookie" peanut butter cookies are normally very simple. There are a ton of recipies for them on the net.

How about no bake cookies. We call them Qiuck as a wink cookies. Here's the recipe:

3 Cups Oatmeal (Quaker Quick Oats)

2 Cups Sugar

1/2 Cup Peanut Butter

1/4 Cup Margerine

1/2 Cup Milk

3 Tablespoons Cocoa

1 Teaspoon Vanilla

Melt sugar, milk, and cocoa. boil it for 1 minute (time it). Take off heat and stir in peanut butter, margerine, and vanilla. Combine into a large bowl with the oatmeal. Mix with a wooden spoon, place spoonfuls on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper and refridgerate for 4 hours. Place in a cookie jar and enjoy.

Hope you like this recipe.

I have big problems with the no bake cookies........by the time I get done mixing them, there is not enough batter left to form the cookies

Hi Leya, hmmm. I thought for a moment your going to come over and join our cookie exchange this Saturday...lol...the one I was telling you about that we are doing with some of the forum members who live close by. Another simple thng you can do with cake mix is called SnowFlakes, just take a lemon cake mix, add a 8 of container to the dry mix, along with 1 egg..mix it up good, the batter is going to be sticky, fill a small bowl with powdered sugar, and drop the teaspoons full of batter into the bowl of P. suger, then kinda roll them into a ball.Put them onto a greased sheet, bake at 350, till just very lightly golden (pale color) and TADAAA--you have lemon snowflakes! Not a cookie recipe, but REALLY easy fudge recipe:

3 cups sugar

3/4 cup butter

2/3 cup (5 1/3 fl. oz. can) evaporated milk

1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces

2 cup marshmallow creme

1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, butter and milk in heavy saucepan; bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate pieces until melted. Add marshmallow creme, nuts and vanilla; beat until well blended. Pour into greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Cool at room temperature; cut into squares. Makes approximately 3 pounds.

Thank you guys so much! I like to give cookies as a gift for my sisters and this year I bought them snowman cookie jars to fill up. I was afraid I was going to have to go to the Kroger cookie isle!!! LOL!!

Corinne,

I'm telling you I'm tempted to drive up there but I think crossing the Mac bridge with my eyes close might be a bit too diffacult!!(I'm VERY afraid of heights!!) I'm good but not that good! LOL!!

Ok in your reciepe you say to "add 8 of container to dry mix" ??? of what? Sorry I'm alittle slow this evening! LOL!!

Fudge, no bake cookies, cake cookies, A real good time for me to be on a diet!!

But I have to taste them... right? Just to make sure, of course, that I made them correctly! hehehehe!!!

Thanks everyone!

) anyways back to my recipe--its 8 oz of cool whip (you can use any brand) gosh its so easy even a little kids can make these and they turn out good. I have done these with every kind of cake mix I can find. The cherry chip one is really food. Leya, crossing the Mackinaw bridge isnt THAT bad, believe me, I HATE heights, and it dont bother me anymore to cross it. We have some very good friends that have there main home on the island, and live near us in winter. I LOVE the island...and I'm not one for water either!!!! How is you horse doing? Corinne

Thanks again everyone! I have some great Ideas now!! I'm possitive I'll use them all!

You guys always come through in a pinch for me!

God Bless and have a Wonderful Holiday!

Corinne,

Thanks for the clear up on the reciepe! It sounds great! I'm going to try it!(and all the others!) Thanks for asking about Pearl! She's doing better. After closer examination it was not her leg but her eye!

Thank God it was her eye lid and nothing else.

Thank you all again!

Leya
