Does anyones horses get sore from shots?

I took my mare to the vet on Saturday to get her rabies shot. They gave it to her on her butt and yesterday she was off on that back leg. There is no heat or swelling. I hosed her and put absorbine on it, she was much better last night. Is this normal? I've never had any of my others have a reaction to a shot.

Not uncommon at all. You handled it just right. And Ojai "s suggestion with exersize is a good one too.

Yup, Rabies is the only shot my horses have ever been sore from. My Vet tells me it's very common... Lots of excercise is correct...
