Well, my friends, it's time to finally say it (which will be much easier than doing it). I'm finally going to retire after decades of enjoying these wonderful little horses.

A lot of friends have been made just for shared love of these creatures. The friends will remain, I hope. But, my beautiful little ones need to find new homes. I'm breaking my own heart, but there's not really any choice -- physical problems come up almost daily it seems. The fair thing to do, for myself, my horses and my family, is to retire & make it easier for everyone. We're having a complete herd dispersal.

I've put up an announcement on my website. I'd like to thank you all for everything -- you've been friends at both highs and lows. THANKS from the bottom of my heart.

I'll still come here & chat because those of you who know me, know I can't keep my mouth shut! It's too much fun here & this doesn't take a whole lot of physical effort either. So, I'll still be here - for better or worse.

And, no, I'm not just going to lay down & die (as far as I know). I've got a few things yet to do in life & am trying to get thru this with an eye towards doing them. One of my other dreams in life is to work with an animal shelter or to foster homeless dogs. And I want to go to Ireland.

The horses still have to sell. It could be a long time, but it'll take me a long time to accept that they are going. -- So, you're stuck with me for a while.

Hey, there's no law that says that someone has to HAVE minis to post here!

I hope you do stay on as a "regular" here-- your years of experience is a great asset to the board, and besides, we would MISS you!

I'm sorry that you have to sell your horses. {{{Hugs}}}

Hey Karen...

So sorry to hear that you have to sell, but totally understand the health issue thing. I agree with Magic, you DON'T have to own minis to post here and you still have years of experience to draw on for future "newbies" and all of us, too!

Traveling is one thing that I want to do, too... Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or..? The world is yours to explore so have fun.

Take care and stay in touch...

Oh, Karen! I am sorry to read this.

I am very lucky to have one of your own (Little Wee Klassic Showgirl) in my herd! I appreciate her so very much. Klassy is such a sweet and beautiful mare, not to mention LOUD. Thank you for making her!

As would seem appropriate: Congratulations and condolences. Not always easy to close the doors we need to, in order to open and enter the next room/phase. You seem to know that there are great joys available for you even though you are moving on.

Glad to hear you're staying, I know there are a few here that don't have minis anymore, yet have a LOT to contribute and I'm glad they are here checking in on us.

Best wishes in your pursuit and finding the greatest homes for your babies.

Liz M.

Bless your heart this has to be a tough decision but sounds like the right one. I have enjoyed your postings for years and hope you will continue to post.

(((((HUGS)))))

*I thought I should edit and add many on here know we had to do this last year...although some day we do plan to have miniatures again its still very hard to let your babies go. LB and its members are a wonderful blessing, I don't know how I could have gone through what I did without LB and friends. If you ever need to talk email me, you will be in my thoughts and prayers that all goes smoothly for you...

No way!! I am sorry to hear you are dispersing your beloved horses! I understand though, your wanting to do some other things and to travel.

Hey, I want to go to Ireland too! And Scotland. My brother in law is in Ireland as we speak and will be for a while. This is his 3rd trip- no fair, I havent gone at all!

We will still expect to hear from you!! And your wonderful new adventures too!

I'm sorry to hear that. It must have been a very difficult decission for you to make. I visited your web site, you have some beautiful horses. I'm glad you are going to hang around, maybe I'll get to know you, and maybe you'll have some tips for this very novice mini horse owner that I am. :~)

I am sorry to hear you are dispersing. I, too, know firsthand the sadness of a dispersal, having went thru that and selling my last horse a yr ago (mine was a financial decision, tho, not physical). I am still here on the forum and still draw on the experience of all who post. I hope to one day own at least one mini again, because I do miss them so much and when I have my own place again, I will!

I'm glad you have decided that travel is in your future...I would love to do that myself!

I hope you will continue to post!

Dear Karen

Although I know all of this & I talk to you almost daily I must post to let you know how many times I have cried over your decesion. You have become my sister, not just my mini sister. When you had the horrible fire I was there & a part of me died when your horses died as well this happened to you. Even though this decision was not entered lightly < processed for about a year> I have finally come to realize this is what you must do. I didn't try to talk you out of it this time.

You were the 1st one I called when we had a new foal, heck you knew sometimes when my husband didn't know yet. You were the one I called when someone got sick, just to reassure me that I was doing the right kind of treatment. We have shared all of our joys as well as saddness. I don't want any of this to stop. You can come over anytime for a mini fix. And remember, never is a long time, you could always come back to the minis if you need to.

I wish you the best of luck in your new ventures.

Karen,

You have been very supportive with Lordy and myself with us heading to various shows and attending the Nationals and we will always thank you for letting me show Lordy to his full potential and having faith in us. You are always welcome to come to our farm and see the "Little Wee" crew that we have put together here at Coventry Lane and see your boy ....Lordy of course. I thank you for all your support and advise over the years and you'll always be a special friend here forever. "Thank you" also for putting together "Lordy's Page" on your web site, it is very touching and Lordy will always be special to me as well since I have trained him myself without any addtional help and making you a proud breeder of him and with so many other miniatures out there that you have had over your career of being the "Little Wee Horse Farm".

Always... and wishing you the very best ~ Pammy and "Little Wee Lord of the Ring" ~
