My oldest daughter (29 years old) and her husband just signed on a house! Their first. She really worked hard to get thru college and then couldn't find a good paying job (I really feel sorry for her) so she took a job as the secretary for the high school counselors. She makes almost nothing. The two of them were so depressed about not being able to afford a house....ever. But, a forclosure just sorta fell into their laps. It's been completely redone, is in a good neighborhood and, best of all, they actually qualify for it. hurray!!!
She was absolutely in tears last night when she called. She cannot believe they will be getting a "real" house. How cute is that?
Anyway, I thought it might be nice if they got a bunch of congratulations cards in the mail. So do you think you guys would be up to sending them a card? That would really make her feel so special.
PM me and I'll send you their address (in their apartment for the time being).
