Well I have a really nice New York cherry cheesecake in my fridge. Its one of them big ones that took 5 packages of cream cheese. My only trouble is that its for my neighbor man. He is 87 and asked to to make it for him, I couldn't say no he is like a Dad or Grandpa to me.

Last week I made one for us and I took him a slice of it and he liked it so much that he wanted to take one to his Thanksgiving dinner at his Grandkids place tomorrow.

For me, its a big slice of cheesecake (which Bob is making right now)

Pumpkin pie with inches of whip cream ALL THE WAY!

I could eat a whole one myself! yum

I also like My aunts 'hillbilly apple pie'. Its apple pie with a 'secrete ingredient' which no one really knows. My grandma passed it down to all her daughters and hopefully one day i will know this so i can eat and get fat on HILLBILLY APPLE PIE!

For Thanksgiving, it is always hot apple pie, but for Christmas it is a wonderful chocolate torte that I make and wait all year for. It is so rich and thick I can only handle it once a year, LOL

Forget the pie.

A bowl of whipped creme with a cherry on top!

I just asked my Italian hubby what his favorite holiday dessert is --

PLUM PUDDING with HARD SAUCE......Which is something he discovered as an adult.

Thank heaven for him he married into an old fashioned Anglo family!

Me? I love either Apple or Peach Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream......I'm simple.

Ummmm...the ones I can mention:

Tiramisu and/or a dense, NY cheesecake.

Oh, and maybe something I discovered while visiting my family back in PA Amish country (Lancaster and thereabouts) was Red Velvet cake. Yum.

Course, we don't need holidays to have some of that now and then.

What is Mudslide pie? Do I detect chocolate?

Love Coco, I know what the secret ingredient is and you do not want to know......I learned that one the hardway up here......

The secret is Real Hillbillies, right Marty?

I didn't make any this year (or last) but I wait all year for pumpkin pie & apple pie, both with whipped cream.
