Wow. I just read it. Now that is a prayer. I would just bet that it won't be found in any of the classroom history books now days. The reason I did an internet search to find it is that I heard how a House Bill to add it to the World War 2 Memorial did not pass. I can only imagine how anyone that stormed the beaches of Normandy and is still alive today would be feeling in light everything going on in present day. Sigh.............

There are 2 elderly sisters in my small town who were nurses in world War 2 and were at Normandy. They go back every year for the ceremonies.I saw then recently in the docs office and though they can barely walk they were very excited to be going again this year so they are over there today celebrating the victory of freedom of Europe from the Nazis.Ellan and Dorothy are remarkable women.

Yes, the men and women that were there are remarkable. They knew what they were fighting for and the ones alive today deserve to live out the rest of their days rewarded for their bravery and commitment.
