I'm getting a few yearling fillies in a couple of weeks. They'll be in their own dry lot. I've always had 2 yr olds and up so I'm wondering if I need to feed them anything extra?

I feed grass/hay, free choice Purina 12-12, and access to a salt block. I don't grain, they'd get too fat and I don't show.

Do I need to add anything else for these little girls?

Thanks!

I currently have two yearling fillies. I'm feeding similar to Karla... I feed Progressive Nutrition ProAdvantage grass balancer (ration balancer, similar to Buckeye's Gro N Win) and grass hay (they are on dry lot) plus a little BOSS. [i have a small temporary pasture that they get out on for an hour or so most days.] They look great.

I have a yearling filly who does just fine on grass hay and a couple handfuls of alfalfa.
