I finally got a digital camera, AND, I think I have figured out how to post pics!!

Introducing my 5 year old jenny, Susan. We got her as a weanling and hoped to breed hinnies out of her, but both my stallions are "racist".

: I think the jack I just got last Sept. may have gotten her done as he seemed to think it was love at first sight!

This is the aforementioned jack, Bullet. He is 11 yrs old and a real sweet pea. I currently have him in with Susan, my gelding mini donkey, and my old arthritic gelding pony as I was afraid he might do something to my mini mares new foals. Eventually he will have a few mares of his own to produce some mules for me. I do believe he already has a little donkey on the way by Susan, as they were wildly "in love" the first week I had him here, and I haven't seen any signs of heat since then.

And this is Festus. I just like the photo. He was all dressed up for Trick or Treating with my kids last Halloween. He stole the show! (I think he was embarrassed, but everyone else thought he was soooooo cute. He was a good sport.)

PS. Can anyone tell me why my photos are so huge? I can't seem to get them smaller!

Thanks, Linda

I see you are using PhotoBucket. And you can resize them right in PhotoBucket.. Click on edit and there is 3 places to choose 25% 50% 75% 50% reduction is nice if the picture is rather large to start with.. And BTW nice pictures, I have to get newer ones of my long ear. But right now so much snow, ice and mud on nice days as today is 42 degress... Congrats looking fine and hugable.

Oh my goodness, I just love your donkeys, and your pictures are great!! I really love the sign, will bray for hay, I'll have to remember that one for when we take ours to the old folks homes, I'll bet they'll get a real kick out of it. thanks for making my day, so far it's been a tough one.

Great pictures! My Vernon will look like Bullet when he grows up :bgrin

Thanks for all the nice words! :bgrin We sure love them.

Shminifancier, thanks so much for the sizing info on photobucket. I knew it had to be something fairly easy, but for someone like me I's so afraid to hit any button I'm not sure of. Half the time I find I blew something up, or worse yet, I've signed myself up for something! :new_shocked:  Anyway, thanks s much!

Marnie, I'm sorry you were having a rugged day! Hopefully today started all shiny and new for you!

We got Festus at an auction for $50 bucks. His feet were out of control, he was bony, wormy, and ratty and had a huge lump on his jaw where the vet said it had probably been kicked and broken. The auction house said he was 1 1/2 years old but we figured it was closer to 9 months or so. He was just such a mess that the name Festus just seemed to fit. He is doing much better now and we just love him.

Thanks Y'all, Linda

Your donkeys are adorable! I love little Festus! He is so darling in his costume and "Will Bray For Hay" is such a cute idea.

Will be fun to see if you have a new baby donkey out of Bullet and Susan!!
