Bonnie,

Can you tell if a horse does or does not want and/or like to show?

Is that ever communicated? Just in case I ever need to know.

Showed a horse one time who hated it, I think.

thanks

I asked Bonnie this exact question during one of the readings she has done for me in the past.

First I got a laugh from her and then she asked me what horse wouldn't prefer to be out in the pasture with his buddies doing nothing but playing and eating and sleeping and lounging around and enjoying life - assuming he is well cared for, well fed and is happy and healthy.

We did talk more about it after that though and yes, there are horses that love to show and love all the attention and excitement and work and that horses - if you are tuned in to them at all - are very, very good at communicating whether or not they are enjoying what they are doing. Then there are horses that just don't like it. The pressure and the work and the stress and the atmosphere are all too much for them and they are just miserable even if they try to make an effort for their handler.

Our own show horses all have different strengths and weaknesses and I absolutely know what they love to do and are confident and excited about, what they are unsure about but open to trying and what they flat out don't like to do and I think they do a good job of letting me know, even when they are being cooperative and doing what is asked.

Bonnie has done readings on all of our show horses and they were very accurate and insightful and helped me to realize I was much more tuned in to what they think and how they feel than I realized. Thanks to Bonnie I also learned a lot about communicating back and forth with them.

Bonnie hopefully will come online and maybe give a better answer, but I thought I'd share my thoughts.

I hope Bonnie will answer you..... although if you watch your horse's body language -- even if you aren't "in tune" with the horse telepathically, you should be able to tell what your horse likes or doesn't like.

Watch your horse's ears and alertness to start with......

I had her ask my gelding this once to. HOwever I already knew the answer. My boy loves to show, he loves people, loves attention and he loves trying to please, especially if there is food involved

But really he does get sad when the others leave and he does. He wants to go to.

I didnt show him last year, and truth be told I am a bit leary of hauling him after his accident. I know it was a freak accident but it still was a accident. That was probably 3 or 4 years ago now. I still more times then not check to make sure the trailer is latched even if I know it is.

When we haul them I also tie the back door shut with a lead rope. Not sure if it will help much if it comes open or not, but it gives me peace of mind.

Hello Frankie,

The others have pretty much answered for me! They usually answer whatever I ask them.

Can't think of any that havn't.

You might get a different answer at different times however. If you have driven a horse until its muscles ache and their feet hurt, imagine what they are going to say.

Thank you for your question I love questions.

Bonnie
