This is insanity. Someone has but the whammy on me.
I have struggled with my Christmas cards now for 2 weeks or more.
I am doing them in Microsoft Publishing Platnum 2002 like I have done a million cards there before. Everytime I go to print them out, I get an "illegal function" and my computer shuts down. I can do any other card in the program and it will not do that, just my Christmas cards, so that program is not corrupt.
I have reloaded my software for the printer.
I have reloaded MPP softwared too till I am blue in the face, but it still shuts me down when I open up that card that I made.
I have re-configured that card now atleast ten zillion times but it still refuses to print it. Is there a Grinch in my computer?
Is it possible that I have a piece of clip art in there that is corrupt that I got off the internet? I have already replaced some of it and then it began to work for about 10 minutes then quit again.
Another question I have is that sometimes I will get a "timeout" notice there too from my Epson printer (740) and it says that there has been an Error and it wants me to go increase my timeou settings......I went into my utility thingy and yup, there are two places there to increase settings but I don't know what it is supposed to read: the top one says 15 seconds and the one on the bottom that says "transmission retry 45 seconds. Does that sound good?
Can anyone tell me what they think is wrong?
My computer man has been closed now for a while because his wife just had a baby and I don't want to bug him at home.
