I've received two e-mails from forum members (looks like the E-Christmas list, but not sure) that were scams.

PLEASE DO NOT FORWARD SUCH THINGS TO MY E-MAIL!! Both had viruses attached.

One was an old "send it on and so and so will give them money), the other was a good luck thing.

Thanks!

Are you sure they were actually from Forum members? I get email with viruses that appears to be from someone I know when it actually wasn't sent by them. I delete without opening any attachments.

I got one too. I did'nt forward it on. I have my usual friends thru e-mail that we forward things to each other but I make sure that what I forward on is scanned for viruses.

viruses attatch to people's address books and look like they are coming from someone you know but they are not actually coming from the person you know..

It hasn't happened recently, but yes.....it's happened to us in the past. It's not the Forum user that did it.

Isn't hat ittitating? Also there's a "worm" going around right now and even with spam filter some will get through. DOn't open just delete all and don't leave mail open. Just check a couple times a day.

I get them also.I know it looks like it comes from the Forum members but I don't believe it does. Also just so you know I do not do that either!

Its very annoying.

If you are using Outlook Express, DON'T leave the preview pane OPEN. If you do the mail is opened.

I have my E Mail opened up at all times but only if the Line is High Lighted will it show as read. And then I have set the length of time from just a few seconds to 15 seconds so that I can high light AND Delete without the computer knowing it was read JUST in case there is a virus in it....

If you are well protected, you don't need to worry about "catching anything"

I think it was MY e-mail list that was hijacked. (Sp>?)

I posted about it in another thread... I have contacted Yahoo... and if anyone knows who the heck littlehorse.2@netzero is, you may want to have a word with them as that's where all of this is suposedly coming from, though they may be have had a problem like mine.

Please stop sending the rude e-mails, it's not me...

It isn't you this is how most viruses and especially worms work....they sneak in and use your address list to further spread.........what I do is delete if I am not expecting email from a particular person....it isn't always that persons fault often they have no idea they have been hijacked.........these computer bugs are emailjackers

I never blame the sender just the creators who OBVIOUSLY have too much time on their hands

I'm sorry I've upset everyone. I sent the email about the terminally ill girl. I had gotten it from a good friend of mine and thought since it was the season of giving it was a good email . I'm sorry if it wasn't. There was no virus with it since my computer and my feinds computer check for them. Again I'm very sorry and I have deleted everyones email address from my computer so you will never get an email from me again. I alreadt PM'd Mary lou and she knows.[/SIZE]
