I guess it is about time they give us some alternatives, they already exist but greedy moneymen wont let us have them, they want to squize as much money out of us as possible... *sigh*

Over here in NZ we are paying $1.70 per Litre...there is 3.8litres in a gallon..

I worked it out and in NZ we are paying $4.40 USD per Gallon..YIKES

You know there is a lot of price gouging going on. There is no shortage, and diesel costs a lot less, and is far less trouble to make and refine than gasoline. But, since all the large commercial trucks use diesel that is a sure fire market that will have to pay whatever price is asked!

Yes my dad says there is no shortage of oil either; works for a drilling company.........just a lot of price gouging.

It's up to 3.89 for diesel here! and I'm sure will get higher before show season kicks into gear!!!

Yep here in Western WA diesel hit $3.90/gal - regular is around $3.50 and supreme about $3.65. I am not making any quick trips to the store and really think twice about what errands I need to run and will try to make sure that when I go to work that my errand running in at stores that are close to my regular route - no more detours to go to a "better store" - just not worth the extra $$$ in fuel.

All those trucks running all over America are hauling goods for you and me, those diesel costs are going to be passed on - a few cents here, a few cents there - it will all add up. Unfortunately salaries aren't going up to keep up with these additional costs.

The politicians who sit in office and don't know what is truly happening to the little guy should really have to be put on a middle class American budget and see how it is to live for about 6 months (pay the mortgage, pay the heat bills, pay the car payment, insurance, pay for food, pay for education, clothes, etc) -- I would be that if every politician in DC had to do that, there would be some BIG changes!

The backs of middle America are breaking and it apparently doesn't seem to matter to those in "office" - no wonder there is a call for change! Wake up DC ! ! !

Ohhh come now people, these poor Execs NEED those $400 million dollar yearly bonuses! How else can they afford to eat?

Diesel hit $3.70 , it is about .30 higher than even high test. I dont understand how anyone with anything to do with making fuel prices higher, can sleep at night. Kinda cut my nose to spite my face, but I sold all my stocks. I want to feel good about making a profit, and ya cant if you make it off of fuel.

The cheapest regular gas I saw yesterday was $3.06, diesel way above that. OPEC is strangling us.

so now isn't the time to tell you that we pay $2 per liter or about $8 per gallon? ;) you got nothing to cry about yet
That's true Jesper, but you have been here too......we have tremendous distances to drive in many parts of the country. Kind of makes up for the price difference. Awful anyway you look at it.

Now, think of us poor people out here that TRY to haul your horses for you. Both here and overseas. You wouldn't BELIEVE how many people think we are getting "rich" at 65 cents per mile to haul. Let's see, $4 per gallon, 10 miles per gallon = 40 cents per mile COST just for fuel!

Now, add to that the cost of insurance, tires, oil, etc. and wonder why haulers are quitting, good ones are hard to find, and costs are going up!

Hope I didn't offend anyone, but I have to deal with it DAILY!

Up here in northeast Wisc. diesel is at $4.09 as of yesterday, gas prices at $3.26 as of yesterday. My daughter runs a trucking company and my SIL is a semi-truck salesman, both have been told gas is suppose to reach close to the $5.00 mark this summer. YIKES...that is crazy, I sure hope they were wrong about that. We have some big tractors that are not cheap to run, and we need them for our hay and other field work. .... and the rich just keep getting richer!

Wow, I am not sure of diesel, but regular unleaded was $2.99, but I paid $2.96 with my King Soopers card. Saves me 3 cents per gallon!

Here regular gas hit 3.49 yesterday. Diesel is up to 4.19 and kersone(we have been using it to help, so the furnace isn't on all the time jumped from 3.19 to 3.59.. This is getting terrible. My hubby drives over 45 min. one way to work
