Last summer I built a mound of hard packed dirt in the middle of the dry lot. My husband was irritated with me because he said the horses would never get up on it as he was mounding the dirt with the backhoe.
Well the 1st day I noticed hoof prints all over it. Now they use it everyday, to play king of the hill!
Yesturday when I can home from work one of my mares was standing up on top of the hill looking out over the neighbors yard. You could see her above the 6' dog pen. She looked like she was 16 hands tall but really only 30" tall.
They love that hill and it is so funny watching them run around the hill chasing after each other, then they will run up over the hill to catch each other.
The only problem is when they don't want to be caught which is rare luckily they use the hill to avoid me by staying on the other side of the hill away from me. Lol.

The hill is about 5 feet tall at the peak and 20 foot diameter.
