I have a tiny red tovero stallion with blue eyes. He is a son of Lazy Ns doogerman. His dam is a tobiano( I think) not sure, she could be tovero... her name is DArmonds GGs IMA Covergirl too.

I want to send in mane to the genetics lab. Is it a possibility that my boy is LWO?

Don't want to waste $$

Thanks!

Yes

Test him for sure.

He's only gonna be LWO if dam carries it as Boogerman didn't. I suspect the blue eyes come from splash, especially since Christy has a good amount of that in her herd -- noting the D'Armonds name on the mare she was born there.

email Christy, she's pretty good with this color info and would probably be able to tell you -- for free, LOL.

I would never risk the life of a foal , even on someones really considered opinion, when there is a test available.

I honestly always assumed Boogerman was Frame as his sire was.

My Boogerman son, DArmonds Boogermans Bravado( barn name Dragon) genetics test came back and he IS a LWO carrier.

I would urge ANYONE with Rowdy-bred minis with any white on them to have them tested for LWO. We know someone who bred a solid color Rowdy-bred mare to a Rowdy-bred Tovero stallion and had a lethal white foal.

I know Lara P. owns the mare now. She is a tovero. May want to give her a call, she can probably help you out on her. I just saw her on her website.

I am also interested to know , did Boogerman test negative for LWO. I am looking at a son presently of his from a man wanting to downsize. I thought for sure this stallion would test positive. ( he has white on the face, and none elsewhere) I also know for a fact, his dam is solid, no white, and no history of frame. Darn it.

I don't know if Lazy Ns Boogerman tested LWO +. My stallion, his son did. However, his dam was flashy, maybe it came from her?

Now I need to test my mares.
