Can't wait for tonight - its the season premiere for Ghost Whisperer -- did her partner/friend really die? of not?

Season one is about to come out on DVD (have it on my wait list on Netflix). There were some episodes that we missed for one reason or another.

Anyone else a fan of this show?

It was my understanding from watching the last show of the season, that yes she did die.

Ohh --- I thought so too - but when they did the rerun of the season finale last week, they ran a commercial about the upcoming premiere - and in it I THOUGHT Melinda said to her friend "don't believe him - you may not really be dead" or some such - and it threw me for a loop - I was wishing I had been taping it so I could rewind and replay.

I love this show. going to have to put it on my Netflix list too now. I hope she didn't die. They make such a great team on the show. Got my DVR already set to tape it.

Ooohhh thanks for the heads up!! Yes we're fans here in our house and I did'nt know tonight was the season premier. Now if I remember correctly there was a bit of confusion and a cliffhanger as to whether it was her brother or herself that had died. Can't wait to see what happens!

One thing about having a ghost dog......you don't need to feed it, worm it, or vaccinate it! :lol:

Bri and I had to wait for the re-runs to see last season's finale! And then it left us with yet ANOTHER cliff hanger! :new_shocked:

Wow - that was a good season opener!! I am sorry that Andrea is really dead - at least she rescued her from Romano!!! yippee!! but what a bad bad bad creature he is!

I can't wait for this Friday.

REO - the DVD for Season 1 will be out in October - you can probably rent it from your local dvd/video rental place in late October. I have it reserved on Netflix for this October since I missed some of the seaon 1 episodes.

It is really a fun show.

Sorry to hear you don't get CBS - it is one of the 5 channels we get on our tv.

What did anyone else think about the opener???

Well - at least Andrea "went into the light" - and I guess the little dog went with the other trapped souls (the ones Romano has with him).

I was thinking that the professor guy was saying that the bad spirits (like Romano) could not do things directly - they were just very evilly persuasive and got stronger as strong "good" spirits (like Melinda) would give in to them (e.g. do as he persuaded them to do).. like the 100+ people he talked into suicide. I was thinking he was trying to persuade Melinda to give him her soul in exchange for all the others that he already had - which you know he would not "give them up" if she was silly enough to make that deal.

I am on pins and needles and can't wait for friday.

Aww - I can't believe I am hung up on 3 tv shows!

I'm such a mush...this show always gets me one way or another....always at the end it seems. Just when they're starting to cry and go into the light...well there I go.....

: I seemed to remember last year hearing that Aisha Taylor wanted to go out and do other projects, but I did'nt post that on here cuz I did'nt want to spoil it for anyone. It was a tear jerker this premiere, the heartfelt "I'm gonna miss you so much". I did notice one thing this time tho. Did anyone else notice they're doing those quick camera flash angles more and more this time around...where they get up real close real fast and then change angles. That kinda started giving me a headache.

Hey - did I really recall someone hinting that Andrea would show up again here and there helping Melinda out - maybe I read it on the Ghost Whisperer show website --

I think they introduce a new "best friend" this week.

Also - who do you think that GUY was - the one at the airport trying to get to Melinda? Was he a good guy or a not good guy?????

That guy from the airport seemed to be a love from her past but good question you bring up...was he a good guy or bad....did she reciprocate the feelings or did he pursue her? Gonna be pretty interesting this season.

I did'nt want to see Aisha go...I really liked her part in the show. I do hope she will return as a guest.

The set up I think is that the "bad entity" needs at least ONE MORE soul to not cross over to give him that extra bit of strength...... And Melinda's exboyfriend is probably going to be tempted because he wants her to join HIM.

There is also that young professor that Melinda has started to go to for information........From what has been said, that character is going to be at least a semi-permanent person in the series for now.......

Hopefully, the whole premise doesn't get too unreal, or they're going to lose me.
