thanks everybody and marty, you are underestimating yourself. that's all i'm gonna say about that!

gary is pretty much unresponsive now and has been for the past couple of days. the hospice nurse was here today and said that even though his heart is strong and his blood pressure is good, things will soon begin to shut down. he only has one good kidney and it's not putting much out now. sadly, he will not remember what day it is but that does not mean i won't cherish what will most likely be our last holiday together on this earth.

i count my blessings every day, as i know you all do. i have 11 wonderful years to be thankful for!

None of our family can make it up this year due to work and gas prices, so we'll eat at the knights of Columbus Hall with some others that don't have family get togethers..

Seems So strange not to be having a big day of it..weird..I'm the matriarch now and feel let down somehow but at the same time peaceful.

I am so happy you have Gary still and that you have help to watch him.... I can not EVER say enough about the people that are involved with Hospice... they are truly angels on earth. I wonder,,, can you feel ALL the people that are thinking of you both? I know I think of you at least a few times a day. We are all caring about you and sending all the goods thoughts to you both...
