I was just cruising craigslists and saw this harness.

Good, bad, ugly?

What about sizing? Would it work for a 33-35'' horse?

EDIT: I know that the price is caution worthy but I just had to ask because of it. Never know what you find on the internet.

This is kind of strange: that same ad and pictures were on our Rockford, IL craigslist sight about 1-2 weeks ago I believe! I read and studied the photos several times before passing it by (didn't really need another harness for 'everyday' at the moment). Hmmm.

I figure, if it's close to you, go look..I found my harness on craigslist for $35. but it didn't have the breast collar and traces.. Bought those on the web for $40. So I have about $75. in mine..Call them...You never know...

I would pass. Why? Because the bridle does not have wire in the winker stays--those look like just flat strips of leather--if there is wire it is enclosed in rolled leather--and I would not have any harness that didn't have a bridle with wire in the winker stays. No wire = cheap harness; if they've skipped on that feature then they will almost certainly have skipped on other qualities as well.

This looks like a harness that we were silly enough to buy some years back. We put it on one time and it has been in the bag since. We ended up buying several harnesses from mini tack for just under $400 each and love them for starter harnesses. We now have about 12 harnesses and think the extra money is well worth it in the end.

This looks to be a work type Amish harness. It's like the one that they sold with my first mini. It will last forever but it's thick and not very good looking. It would work for a training or practice harness. At least on mine the blinkers stay out away from the eyes but like I said NOT pretty!
