Has anyone seen the news story about a statue of

I just saw a short blurb in the news on line about a statue of the Virgin Mary that's outside of a church in San Fransisco that started weeping "red tears". It started doing it LAST WEDNESDAY. Anyone know more about it????

I saw a piece about it yesterday on the news. A priest wiped the tears away but it came back. I don't know much else. Not sure what I think about it either. There are many people going to it like a shrine. They say it is blood, but I don't know if that is true or not. Anyone else?

Well, my only information source on this was either Opie & Anthony or Ron and Fez on the XM radio so I'm not that informed (and not sure why I listen to those kind of programs...)

Yes, actually it is here by me. I have not been to see it yet because of the crowds. I want to though. It is pretty incredible. She cries tears of blood and they drop down onto her gown.

There was a segment on the news last night with pictures....the priest they interviewed said the substance is being submitted for analysis ......the person they interviewed said he wasn't sure it might not be an elaborate hoax.........

looked more like molasses in the pictures I saw.........

Hmm.. That's interesting. I am not sure if I believe it though, even though I am a well dedicated, born Catholic. There are just so many people out there that LOVE to stir things up by doing this type of stuff, it could very well be a hoax.. But, to, it may not.
