Recently I had heard that people tend to leave this earth about the same time of the year that they entered it....... Think back to people that you know have passed .....did they pass within a month either way of their birthday? I can think of 3 in my experience, My Grandpa Freund died within a month of his birthday, less than 3 weeks after, My grandma Lahms birthday was October 24 and she died Nov 7th, my friend Greg died this morning and his birthday is in February. ANyone else have any experience with this?

Lyn I am sosorry about your friend Greg

Interesting...I can only think of 2 family members that died close to their birthday. My Nana past away exactly one month before her 85th birthday and her son My favorite Uncle Joe died within weeks of his birthday. My dad passed away Jan 6 '04, 3 months after his 73rd (so that's not close) but as I sit here thinking I believe his mother died 2 weeks before her birthday. Both of my husbands grandfathers died within weeks of their birthdays too. Hmmmm I am anxious to hear more answers

Hello Lyn,

It doesn't work out that way for anyone in my family and I have had quite a few cross over because my family is so huge.

I believe there is only ONE (person?)who knows when we are going to go.

For some reason, most of my relatives have chosen to leave this Earth around the first of the year.

Now my FIL, he died 2 months to the day before his 81st birthday. My Grandmother (father's mom) died in Feb, he birthday was in June.

Three of my Uncles (mother's side) all died the first week of Jan, can't remember their birthdays but sure makes the beginning of your year tough. One of my Aunts died on Thanksgiving day.

My grandmother died the day before her birthday.

My gramma was laid to rest the very day she had been brought into this world 78 years before.

This is interesting. My Grandfather died (101yrs old) 4 days before his birthday, which was Jan 24th. dies Jan 20th. My Mom passed away 3 weeks after her birthday, Nov. 7 died Nov 28th. Those were the only 2 in our family who died close to there birthdays. But, anoother odd coinicidence is my mom, grandmother, gr-grand mother and gr-gr grandmother (all on the same side) all passed away with-in 2-3 months after turning 70 yrs old. Anyone ever have this happen? Corinne

I think the subject is very interesting.....but most I know have not passed within a month of their birthday... Just one. My father was born April 28 and crossed over on April 4th.

My mother was born in November, but passed on March 4th. My brother was born in November and was killed on Sept. 4th. Weird - eh? And my brother passed first!

Now that you mention it, yes, that seems to be how its been, for the most part. Another odd thing is hubby is loosing his family in the same order that I did. Exact same order. We both have only our Mothers and siblings left.

What about knowing when you will die? A few years ago I had a very real dream, saw myself die and at what age. I dont put much stock in stuff like that, but for some reason, it seems quite real.

My mother die just one month before her birthday. Died Feb 25, born Mar 25. My dad died the first or second week in Oct, his birthday was Nov 10.

I know I though it strange mon died just one month before her birthday to the day. My dad was addmitted to long term care on Oct 1 and died about one week later. I think he will himself to die. He only lived about 4 yrs after mom and was in and out the hospital and rest home for the last 2 years of his life.

That hasn't been the case for anyone I've known either. However, my father was gravely ill with cancer and he finally gave up on June 7, which was the SAME day that his mother had died 13 years earlier. In fact, it was within the same 1/2 hour. She and my grandfather adopted him when they were in their 40's and she was in ill health most of his adult life. He loved her dearly.

This hasn't been the case for anyone for me either, the closest I have to a birthday is 4 months and 6 days.

A very good friend of mine was born 06-06-1911 and died 05-05-2000

We miss her horribly -- I still have 2 of her 3 cats. One chose to live with someone else.
