Nope we have at least 3 more months of winter here on the high plains of Wyoming!
I usually start breeding in June and go through August or September. I have lots of 10 month mares, and when the foals come in April with snow still on the ground I remember that I am nuts! haha
My favorite time for them to be born is July. The nights are still cold, usually in the 40's, but the days are perfect!!! And I often have mares that foal out on the grass in July That is the perfect foaling scenario here! But I don't like them to all come at once, so that is why I don't breed for ALL July foals!
