Well Aside from horses I have quite a thing for Peruvian guinea pigs. They look like little walking toupees. They are such charming little creatures and I just love em!

: i had a short hair one once....i was like three or four and i took it upon myself to set it free....mom was mad, but we havent seen it since....i like to think he is still living in the wild. :bgrin

:new_shocked: thats so sad

I have a few short hairs myself. They are little cuties as well.

I had a Peruvian Guinea Pig when I was in High School......back in the Dark Ages. I also had Yorkshire Terriers.......kind of thought they looked alike........LOL! I remember my Guinea getting so excited when she saw me.........squeeking and rearing! She was a cutie! Yours are cute too!

Aw those a cuties! They're just as popular up here as the short-haired ones. I love them all hehe. I used to have a crested GP by the name of Crystal...she was the best!

I had a friend with Peruvian- I did like him but not the grooming involved!! I do like the Rosettes, though, far more practical coat.

We have one in our animal science classroom.

Her name is Molly and she picks who she likes!

I love your black one!

Nice piggies.........I love peruvians ...I had a friend who showed them......we took in a texel who had a disease (I cannot think of right now like an ear infection but not curable) he spent a happy couple of years with us before he died.......he was the sweetest guy even if he tended to spin in circles......We used to often have cavie shows in conjunction with the rabbit shows and it was so fun to see all the varieties

I rescued one when I was a kid that looked just like your Gambit when his hair finally grew out nicely again. I called him Otis and I often think about getting another one some day...

Too cute!

: I have a short haired guinea pig that I have had for 3 years. I know how sweet they are! Nothing like my hamster was.. Starbuck (my guinea pig) LOVES cuddles, but my hamster hated all people.. lol

Okay so how much does a toupee, I mean guinea pig like that cost??

Yours are too cute!!! I used to raise them when I was young and they can sure have a lot of personality!

Very cute. I was thinking one could be called Cousin It like in the Adams Family :bgrin . That's the first thing I thougt when I saw the first pic was a mini cousin it and I hardly ever watched that show when I was younger.

I've never heard of Peruvian guinea pigs before. I've never see guinea's that pretty before. Just adorable!

Those are sooooo cute little living dustmops.   Never saw one before.

Rob: I paid $15. for Otis but as I said earlier it was a rescue situation and his condition was horrible. I'm sure most cost more than that, maybe around $30.-$50. for a nice pet, depending upon the type?

We have those at school...Someone trimmed one of them and the real owner got really mad(I'd be too).
