Heat Wave = Heat Stroke

Lisa,

I tied her in the stall because it has the same effect on this mare as putting her in a trailer. It is just easier to get her in the stall rather than the horse trailer. She is having normal size and texture poops. I am treating ALL of my horses for sand. However, yesterday and this morning this mare has met me at the fence with a nicker. Sorry to highjack your thread but is it others oppinion that this would not be a heat stroke or from the teff hay?

I love the one with the frozen bottles! Have my daughter working on making some for tomorrow.

I have big bags of powdered GATORADE, and add this to fresh clean buckets of water. The big bags I have make 6 gallons!

Some seem to really like it. I like that not only are they drinking the H20 but getting the electrolytes too.

Supposed to be 100 today and up to 104 by the weekend .... AGHHHHHH

its really bad here in the houston area. its been up to 106-107 in my area WITH humidity.
