Thanks Brenda!!! Yes, i have been training Bruce to drive for about a month and a half now. Bruce has won multiple World/National titles in halter, but it has came to the point where it is time for him to begin to show in a new disipline as well. It has been quite an experience because going into this i knew next to nothing about driving and i have learned so much about driving through training him. First off it definitely takes a horse that has the talent. And it also takes a lot of patience to train a driving horse, i ground drove Bruce for over a month before i finally hitched him up to the cart. And when i finally did hitch him up to the cart for the first time, he did everything i had trained him to do. If all goes as planned he will making his debut in Country Pleasure Driving at a show in the spring. He still has a ways to go before he will be ready but he is progressing really well.

These pictures are from his 5th time being drove

Beautiful!! I just love his dark coat color and his four white stockings, makes him look really really flashy!! Someday I want a jet black driving horse with 4 whites!

Thank You everybody for the kind words! This has been a real experience training him to drive because i really don't know anything about driving but i am learning. But I think training Bruce by myself will make the wins much more awarding than if i would have put him with a trainer.

Aubrey

Wow, Aubrey, he looks great! Goes to show that being born with the talent makes it look easy. ;)

You're doing great, and yes, the wins will be so much more meaningful since you're doing it yourself. I think the part that doesn't get as much acclaim is the connection with the horse that happens when you learn new things together. :D

Best wishes!

Liz

Hey Aubrey - he looks great - congratulations on all your hard work so far. I love those driving horses and it is easy to look at a horse like Bruce who clearly has a lot of natural talent, and with your love & committment I don't doubt for one second that you two will be a very successful pair in the driving arena (now that you have already cleaned up in halter!)

Keep up the great work!

Stac

Aubrey,

Bruce (and you!) look great! I think it's very exciting that you're training him yourself. Good luck next year in the ring!!

He looks great Aubrey. I agree , anyone can buy a horse that is already trained , but the success

comes in having the talent and the way with horses to do it yourself. That in my opinion means more

than the blue. He looks awesome !!! Congratulations. !! Maryann
