Boy yeah! with a little love and food to fill out and some care for the bugs, I think this girl is really going to appreciate what you've brought her home from =) How wonderful!!!!

Well if your new horse responds as quickly as you did....? lol

Good to see you & talk about your new darling.

Man I couldn't believe it was you pulling in!

I hadn't even hit the send button for the PM I was sending!

Seems you've got everything under control now.

You have all our best wishes with this RESCUE

The poor girl! I am glad you have her now.

Do you have a blanket for her? Granted you are further south in Ontario than we are, but it is pretty damp and cold still at the moment!

I really hope she isnt bred.... she really doesnt look it to me but a very very thin mare can hide it. Also if she is be prepared for the foal to need LOTS of help. Selenium vitamins etc. Feed her showly and worm her gently because you could kill her she is so bad off. Also be prepared for a change in behavior just in case. When horses are so poor they are more or less stunned. Just happy to get thru one more day She may come to life later.

Thanks for getting her and giving her a great home.

Lyn

In case anyone was wondering, this thread is an older one... there was an update recently on this mare. The vet has been out and advised on feeding, worming and the bug infestation... and yes, she is bred. I'll see if I can find the post and bump it up for you. I can't wait to see photos of this mare in a few months time!
