Horseback Riding on The Beach in Punta Cana

My mom and I just came home from Punta Cana, we had a wonderful time and made so many friends! Dominicans are such nice people and I am definately going back again! So many memories, but I will share a few pictures with you. My dream was always to gallop along the beach on horse back and a couple of my Dominican friends took me out to this private beach and there we went... it was a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!

Here is my mom who joined in even though she isn't the biggest fan of horses..

This was in the middle of the ocean, a guy we met took us there and had our own "swim up" bar...

Wow.....that looks really fun. Thanks so much for sharing those TROPICAL pictures......I needed that. I am so tired of snow, those pics really warmed me up, LOL. I went horseback riding when I was in Mexico, and it is so much fun on the beach......you looked like you were having a blast. even your non horsey Mom,

Cool pics!!

I was in Punta Cana a couple of years ago and galloped on the beach!! IT WAS SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! My sister was with me, and even went riding too (she's not a horse person), but I was the only person in the group that evening that took advantage of galloping along the beach!!! man, it was awesome.....

We also went 'Swimming with the sharks' and did the swim up bar in the middle of nowhere....I had WAY too much Vitamin 'R' that day.... OH! OH! LOL

Glad you had fun! I'd go back to Punta Cana again....I really enjoyed it.

And yes, thanks for the WARM pictures....*sigh* we're under a thick blanket of snow, yet again.....

Uh Isn't Punta Cana Fabulous!! I went last year. Which resort did you stay at? Ours was the Excellence. We also did the horseback riding twice. It was amazeing to go full speed splashing through the water and jumping over the logs on the beach.

My sister and I were at the Bahia Principe. It was nice....not TOP of the line, but all-inclusive, clean and friendly....

Guess where I am headed on Saturday!!! Puerto Vallarta (Dominican)!!!! AND we are scheduled for a ride into the mountain!!! Of course, the weatherman is saying Saturday COULD be the biggest snow dump yet here in Eastern Ontario (boohiss) soooo we may be delayed getting out...I hope to have TONS of pics. Can't wait!!!

Our resort was just a few down from the Bahia Principe...I walked by that one a few times....it looked very nice!!

We go to Puerto Plata April 4th to an all-inclusive... and since I rode on the back of Tim's snowmobile last weekend (he promised not to scare me or go fast), he sold his soul and said he would ride a horse with me if I got on the snowmobile with him... don't know if the beach appeals to him for riding but it does for me!

My coworker went to Punta Cana in February and she and her hubby said it was awesome.

I am still nervous about travel after Liberty's illness and death when I was in/came back from Cancun but I have a wonderful horsesitter and she told me not to worry. My "girls" love her already.

We leave for Orlando on business in a few hours for the weekend and I am ready to see palm trees and sunshine - the winter has been way too long here in upstate NY with snow, ice storms and cold!

One good thing - the red winged blackbirds are back as of yesterday - the males arrive and start staking out nesting sites on our farmette... and they are 3 days early.

Now if my pond would just thaw so the spring peepers start singing....

OMG duh me..going to Punta Cana (Blue Bay Villa--Desoro).

OF COURSE BECAUSE OF THE "BIG JUICY" we may not be going anywhaere.ggrrrrrrrr!

That is what they are calling this Texas storm (boo hiss y'all Texans) that is going to hit Easten Ontario TONITE and TOMORROW am...up to FIFTY (50) CM of snow....eeekkkkk

Keep the toes/fingers crossed that they open the bar at the airport early LOLOL if our flight is delayed!
