I have 5+ acres

I have 10 minis and one on the way

I have a large dry lot around the barn yard

and 5 fairly large fields that I rotate because I also worry about parasite overload from over grazed fields

The fields all become lush and plush in spring and last until around December, if I'm lucky and keep up with management properly

We are on about 7 acres. 5 acres are pasture land for them too graze.

6 Minis , 1 pygmy goat due middle of May,

Fallow Dear,

Llama crossed with Alpaca,

& a Collie Dog all live out in the barn.

Hope to build my herd back up to about 10 Minis total in the next couple of years.

We have almost 200 acres and as of this evening 243 horses, plus two big horses, eight llamas, four miniature donkeys.

Take a tour here.

We live on 5 acres and have 9 horses. Five of which are full sized, two are ponies, and then we have two miniatures with a foal on the way. (We also have 10 dogs (all are little dogs except for 1) and 2 cats and about 4 litters of puppies on the way.)

We have 460 acres with 7 minis, 1 pony, 1 llama and 2 riding horses. We downsized before the move last year but I'm sure we will fill it up again.

I think I may have forgotten some horses but i'm not for sure. I'll have to write their names down to be sure

1 acre, divided in half..1 mini. On weekends, we open his gate and he has the run of the 1 acre which also includes our house. It works nicely.

Its a lot of fun and I never get bored.

We have 39 acres but choose to put our 4 minis on 1 acre because they are FAT. The acre they share is a wide open dry field.

154 acres (about 40 in pasture) and currently have 31 Shetlands and 2 miniature donkeys.

This is a great post!!!!!!! So NEAT to hear about everyone's place!!

Well... I rent my place.... I wish I owned it.... but it's 5 acres.... with 2 little bitty pasture areas (for my broodmares).... I have 9 minis but I guess I actually have 12 with including the 3 mares that have foals on the side. I am working on having 9 stalls... and have quite a few pens that go with the stalls... It's a never ending process here for fixing up this old farm place. I've had to make a HUGE old corncrib into my mini show barn..... It works...... just not what a person thinks of as a "show barn"...... But 5 acres is enough for me...... there's pleanty to take care off!

Oh...... I almost forgot..... I have 10 cats (all fixed and spoiled rotten!).......And one dog, my corgi, Flash.

And then just me and my 2 kids....(7 & 10).

We have 10 acres here with 4 horses ( as of now, plan on getting a few more) , 3 goats , 6 dogs , 3 garden ponds with Koi ( largest pond is 15' X 20') , 3 ducks and 5 rabbits ! Still have lots of room left for more. Plus we own 35 acres up north that we plan on moving to some day. Just think of all the room I will have then ! :bgrin

hi

here in Ireland we have 46 acres of meadows. 15 minis, 2 riding horses, 2 ponies, cattle & sheep.

Its hard work keeping up with it all but we love it.

We have 12 acres and are using about 5 of it for the horses right now. We have one 40X50 barn (getting VERY crowded!!), a 100 X 150 arena (not enclosed), about a 1 acre dry lot and the rest is yard and two fenced pastures. We rotate our horses through the different pastures and dry lot depending on their situation.

Furry friend count:

11 mature minis, 2 babies on the ground and two more expected, one filly coming this summer from Erica and Belinda (Yay!), 1 pony, 1 TWH, 1 belgian, 8 dogs and 11 cats. Plus we have one mare that is at Monette's in LA.

We also have 4 "visiting" mares that are here for a "date" with Corona!

All minis are either stalled or have access to the alley of the barn at night.

So fun to read! I thought I had already responded, way back on page 1 somewhere, but I guess it was while I have been having signal problems with the internet and lost the reply.

We are in the final stages of purchasing 40 acres (which we have decided to name "Faith Creek Ranch"

At the moment, we have 2 mini's, 1 dog and 1 cat. In the future we plan on purchasing a pony or small horse for the children to ride, a couple gaited trail mares, a male and female Anatolian Shephards, a garden pond, some fowl (to include turkeys

: guineas, and call ducks, and the possibility of a few rabbits. The kids are wanting a lamb too, but not too sure about that one.
