How many foals next year?

I am anticipating 4 foals next year. First 3 are due in April, and the fourth one is due in May. The first two were bred 1 day apart, and the third is two weeks later, so we should have an exciting foaling time in April!

3 are my own, and one is an outside mare who came for breeding, and decided to stay (I'll be leasing her after she foals), LOL! :bgrin Funny how that happens....

Two of the mares are bred to my snowcap stallion, and these will be his first foals, I'm very excited to see what he will produce!

Thank you Rebel for starting this subject! It got me busy doing our foaling dates for next year.

We have 10 mares ultrasounded in foal. BUT with the high heat and drought we had this summer I wouldn't be surprised if a couple turn up empty.

5 are to Skipper & 5 to Cowboy.

The earliest due is Silver Star...to Cowboy. If she carries 311 days like for her '06 foal she will foal February 9. Sheila, that will be a full (something) to the Dude!

Well, we only have 2 that we bred,,,,,,,I am sure one took, the other I am not sure about. Don't do testing, if they're not in foal, well they're just not and that's fine.

One is a Little King Supreme Granddaughter and the other is our Hall of Fame Mare.

The other girls have the year off!

First one due April 5.

We have one expected in March and one in April. Already excited! We changed from breeding all pinto to buckskin and palomino. We also only do 2 or 3 a year and last year we took a year off to show more so I cant wait, seems like its been so long already without a baby in the barn.

I am expecting 3 foals in 2007. I'm really excited about my LTD tovero mare I purchased this year "MAGIC MANS MOONLIGHT" who is the dam of "LTD'S MOONSTRUCK" sire of all those GORGEOUS LOUD foals Dona at Kickapoo Acres had. She is bred to my blk/wht homozygous stallion "Freelands Fiestas Imperial Storm"

I'd be more then pleased to get half the color Dona produced.

We are expecting 3 foals for 2007:

Calita (black blanket app/big spots) to Macho Chips (bold black leopard appy)- foal will be pure Falabella. Kim Landis at Crayonbox will be foaling her out at her place (she owns Macho Chips). Due March.

Misty (Black that goes back to Chianti) x Justin (bay blanket appy) foal will be black based as Justin is homozygous black- hoping for black appy. She's for sale. April 1.

Saga (imported black leopard) x Squit (tiny 26" black)- hoping for tiny and colorful! Due July 20th.
