Hay there,

I just started coming on this site a couple days ago. And I keep coming back and coming back! I am starting to choose it above a nap! Or reading a book! It is so wonderful that there are all these people here, who do not roll their eyes when I start talking horses or say "minis are so small, they can't do anything" (add a teenager's whine while reciting). How did you get hooked? I love reading people's "stories". Thanks, Wendy

Hi Wendy.

I started coming here a couple of years ago. I still remain pretty quiet on the posting end - I like to come here and read, read, read. I like to go googly eyes over all the pretty horses and I read alot here to learn about the minis. I guess that's what I like most about it. I can learn lots of things through others who have already been there and done that. (Thanks!!)

Oh it's certainly ADDICTIVE!!! I don't even HAVE miniature horses any more (I upgraded to Shetlands and Hackneys) but I just can't help myself. Miniature horses are a WONDERFUL breed! And the people are wonderful, too!

I sadly spend just about all my free time on here when im not at the barn...work..sleep

First thing i do when i get up, check my email and then check out the forum....shower..forum...barn...forum...work..barn...email...forum...sleep..thats about a typical day.

I just love seeing what my friends are up to and of course its just fun overall

I remember at nationals this year when they aired it live, the announcer kept saying check out lilbeginnings for the link LOL, it seems like everyone is here or been here at one time.

Like a lot here, I am addicted, had a fall about 5 years ago and do not work anymore outside the home.

Got rid of the kids cause our animals where allergic

Now I am a stay at home mom for my dogs and minis.

Learned last year to edit and do some designing on my own.

love the social time I get here.

Sometimes we are just like any other family, we do not see eye to eye, but when someone needs us we are here for each other.

My saying is just keep coming back... take what you like and leave the rest....

I first found LB while I was living in Las Vegas about seven years ago (the join dates were reset when the forum was updated). I was missing the minis like crazy, and the forum helped me to get my fix. Then when I came home later that year it was to a real mess on the farm, and the forum family really helped me to get through a hard time. I've been hooked ever since. Since I work from my home office, I usually have a window open to the forum all day. I'm definitely a forum addict. :love

Oh yes, I am definitely addicted. I check in here a dozen or more times a day. Once I see my family off to the various places they go each day, finish feeding, cleaning up after and visiting with my animals I come here to catch up while I eat my breakfast. Then I stop back in whenever i get a moment all day long and usually last thing before I go to bed at night. I honestly can't recall when I joined, I lurked on this forum for years before I posted for the first time. But once I did.... well lets just say my total posts climbs daily

BTW Reble, I want to know how youcan prove that the animals are allergic to the kids

I'm pretty sure mine are at the very least made to feel less well by the time I spend feeding the family rather than them lol

We have no kids to get rid of, but this may come in handy with siblings, especially one brother-in-law!

Oh, yeah...the question. As a self-employed graphic designer, I'm at my computer all day, so like Tiff, I almost always have a window open to LB.

I was just talking to my hubby on the phone & telling him how great the forum is--how nice the people are, & I get to talk horses, but I'm not really at risk of buying any (says the woman making payments on 2, and trying to figure out how to afford another broodmare, that I think I am reeeeally going to need....). He suggested I should get things done around the house also. The nerve! He obviously has his priorities screwed up!!!!!This is my special time.

I enjoy reading the forums posts and seeing the pictures of all the minis and you can say that I am on the computer atleast 12 hrs per day as I am also a self-employed graphic designer. So my day goes pretty much like- check email, edit photo, check Lil Beg, check email, etc

I'm another who's on here more often than I should be. Gotta keep track of what's going on in the mini world; not to mention in the lives of our forum family. I had been lurking for a couple of months before I posted the first time. It was a semi-emergency as my mini was colicing and my mind went totally blank. The nice people on here helped me through it and he was fine in a couple of days.

Hi, I'm Renee, I'm an LB addict. . .

I come here at least twice a day (AM & PM), but almost always far more frequently than that. Just HAVE to pop in to see if there are any topics that interest me! I can't remember exactly how I found the forum, I'm sure I was probably surfing the 'net after I got my first mini a couple of years ago.

Initially I stuck with the main page to get info specific to minis, but now I also always have to check the Backporch, as well as the rescue forum, and I usually check out the photo gallery as well.

It's a lot of fun, but sometimes I even annoy mySELF that I have to check here so often!

I found the forum when I got my mini-Giddy, I was googling and came across Lil Beginnings-I lurked for a few months then joined. I am so glad I did! Everyone is very helpful..

Im here ohh, say.... probably 10-12 times a day. I wasn't so much before, but when I was here less, it was for HOURS. Now I usually get on for maybe 10-30 minutes multiple times a day. Have to be sneaky so hubby doesn't yell "Your on OMGHORSES.COM again" So, when he gets a shower, goes out, watches tv, goes to work...... you know where I am

At least he says "They're your horses, I cant tell you what to do or how much to spend" lol

My name is Erika and I am a "miniature horse forum- aholic." And I hope never to be cured. I joined a few months ago after lurking as a guest for over a year. I have learned so much from this forum. I love looking at the pictures and browsing the sales pages- (looking for someone to sell a black driving gelding in or around NE. Cheap.But not too cheap.) I am on here daily and sometimes it's the only social interaction I get: I'm a stay-at-home mom. I love talking about horses and my husband can only listen so long before his brain starts smoking and his eyes glaze over from too much feigned interest.
