This is besides annoying me, right?? Hay Nancy--I would like to know what my hubbys problem is ??? I bought him a Bobcat, he didnt turn into a landscaper, and our yard sure could use one! :bgrin instead he goes off and thinks its a grader and I swear we have the smoothiest driveway going to our house, to our barn, to our sons house, and to our daughters house. I have very smooth pastures too, he is constantly cleaning them up :bgrin OK, cant complain there, it sure saves me from picking alot of it! He has a welder, heck HE IS a welding specialist for the past 35 years! Does he do any welded gates or ANYTHING --NOPE! But let anything happen to the beef pastures or gates, or when the draft horses are here and they wreck something.. heck yes..hes right there to fix it! hmmmm

: But his actual hobbies would be guns, and fishing, draft horses, Now if Lori is reading this she is going to say..heck No..the man loves to shop for groceries..and cook

: guess I cant complain there either, but he does go overboard with the groceries..I NEVER have to go grocery shopping and I like it like that! The only hobby we share together would be the horses. :bgrin Corinne

Hubbys hobby is of course, annoying me LOL but he really gets into Motorcycles. No cruisers LOL he has a couple of Sport bikes, one for speed , Kawasaki ZX-12, its been over 200mph, and one for racing an Aprilia.
Ditto the bikes. My fiance has a Yamaha R6 YZF until not long ago, now he's gone to motorcross which is proving to be more dangerous than the road bike he's 2 breaks in 3 months... He has been banned from riding until after our wedding in March as he will get the bracing of his wrist in Feb... I think he likes to pretend he's Carey Hart.. After driving him home from the ER after the last accident, I did suggest that maybe he wasn't that good and should go back to playing golf, which is his other hobby.

GUNS, GUNS, GUNS, GUNS, GUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was born a couple hundred years too late. He is into black powder big time and it has to be accurate!!!!! His gun safe is full but if I get another horse he gets another gun. I guess thats fair. At least he can leave his gun out of the safe because if anyone breaks in I can use it as a club because how the heck do you load it? Linda B

One of Larry's "jobs" is to sell over the internet stuff from the observatory retail outlet, plus during the summer he is a vendor at various Star Parties all over Oregon and Washington. A Star Party is where hundreds of amateur astronomers go out in the middle of no-where and camp, look at the night sky, and all compare other people's telescopes. It's really kind of fun because it's very family oriented, so Brianna and I go with him.

My husband has been trying to get us out to a Star Party here for two years. He was excited to hear your family goes to them. He said we are definitely going this year.

: Let us know when you hear of the next one.

My hubby's hobby is, civil war re-enactment... and genelogy. It used to be cigars.. and how many he could collect and the most expensive he could find. After a few cigars in the $80.00 range... as a good wife.. I told him to give it up! :bgrin And being the good hubby he is.. he did...

My husband's hobby's are vegtable gardening and deer hunting. He has our garden in way before any one else ever does and you will rarely spot a weed. He takes care of it all, I do the canning and freezing - though he is pretty good about helping with that too. The rest of the year, he is eather scouting out spots for deer stands, baiting, bow hunting or rifle hunting. He is a die hard!

: The mini's are my thing, though he loves to brag about them. Why - just the other day he asked me to print out a picture of himself and our Nakota - so that he could take it to work and "prove" to the guys how small he is!

LOL!!!! Isn't it wonderful??? Dangle a gun in front of their nose, and once their eyes glaze over and you start to see a sliver of saliva forming at the corner of their mouth, you POUNCE! While they are mumbling, "yes, Yes, YES!!!!" you quickly ask if you can buy the horse you have your eye on, and take their mumbling as your answer!!! You both get what you want, and are just happy as heck!!!! LOL!!!! Works like a charm!

You just need to learn to ask the right way Corinne! LOL!!!! Like, in a thoughtful voice, say;

"I suppose your BobCat wouldn't be able to pull up that dead tree over there, would it?" or

"I suppose you wouldn't know how to use the BobCat well enough to landscape that area over by the side of the house, would you, it could be a little tricky?"

LOL!!! Cast dispersions on their Power Toys, and watch them prove you wrong! LOL!!!!! And you know how they love to prove us wrong! LOL!!!!

Hubby owns a repair shop, they do bikes but also a whole lot of 4-wheelers and a few dirt bikes. he just bought me a nice Honda Foreman that he is fixing up will be SO much easier to do things around here LOL

Sorry bout the injuries, man I know how that sucks and talk about driving up some insurances. Hubby cant get any insurance to cover him at the track, and he has never wrecked. I would see if there are any off road/dirt track schools for your Fiance. Even with a lifetime of riding, its amazing how much those schools can help. And they are worth it in the long run. Funny you mention Cary Hart, when I order things for hubby, every now and again they think he is Metzger LOL Our names are similar Maybe I should say yes and see what we can get? LOL

Hubby loves the horses as much as I do but aside from that he is a hunter well, was, didnt do much this year due to a 4th back surgery but he loves hunting and fishing just has had to put it on hold this year to recover. We also both love Nascar and have traveled to a few tracks in the last 10 years. He also is a wonderful woodworker but hasnt done that for awhile either. Im with those of you who have bought tools though If you buy the tools they will use them sometimes not right away but it will happen.
