Question for all your HB owners out there.

Is there a way to put a clasp/clip of some sort, to attach the breeching to the HB?

Right now I just traditionally wrap the breeching strap, which kind'a interfears where I need to put the stirrups.

Easiest thing to do would be to get a shorter set of breaching straps, and just loop and buckle them. There is a school of thought in the combined driving world, that this is the much safer option, especially in marathon portions, as it is safer/easier to undo in an emergency situation.

I actually use a pair of hames straps that came with our pair harness and put some scissor snaps on those, so they stay on the HB. I do think that if you have a more difficult or energetic horse you should think about a more reliable snap. For our horses it works, they also are only like four inches away from the seat so that would stop them if one of those snaps were to break.Remember we have that similar heavy padded seat!
