I just wanted to say how happy I am (really!!) for everyone here on the forum...You all are blessed with your horses, gifts from other forum members as well as cards from them...I have no horses to hug on with their yak hair, I open my mailbox every day...bills, but not one card and no gifts to give this year, because I am so very broke. I cant wait til Dec 26th

Happy Holidays everyone!!! Wishing you all the best (miss you all).

(crawling back under my lurker's rock now)

Hey, Linda, if you get the need for horsey company, we are always here in the same spot at the coast.

I've got 6 little yaks that love attention (well, not so much Gramma, she's kinda crotchety as is her right)!

We'd love to visit if you're down this way.

My thoughts are with you that 2006 will be the best year ever for ya.

Liz M.

Linda, I'm sorry I didn't realize that you ended up selling ALL of your horses.

Please post your address (or send it to me); I am going to (try) to send cards this year for a change, and I'd be happy to send one to you!

Also hoping that 2006 will be a much better year for you.

Yes Linda, please post your address. I think you were on the card list last year but I lost mine.... my cards are late going out....seems everyone here has been too busy to help but....they will come I promise. Wishing you blessing and happiness for 06....

Hi Linda - I can relate about being broke - REALLY! I think you should throw your lurker rock out and start visiting here more - I think that would cheer you up some...

Here's hoping that 2006 is the best year ever for you!

Well we are broke as well.....the kids are each getting one major gift from us and that is it....This year I am not a grinch in fact I am having fun we put up the tree and did some very minor decorating....and I am focusing on being grateful for what I have rather than worrying about what I can't do/get for others.....we don't have any cards (I know a few will come) but that is no biggie....for the first time in years I am relaxed and enjoying the spirit of the season

Dangit, Linda...we're right over Cornelius Pass from you! I get so caught up in not wanting people to see our messy place that I've neglected my friends.

You are welcome here any time, and Thelonius, Flash and Mingus have kisses to spare...and if you scritch their butts or under their chins, they'll never leave your side! And since we have three horses and two humans, we'd all love an extra pair of hands for a walk.

After years of freelancing, we hardly even do Christmas, since the money needs to be saved for the lulls in business...so I understand that one. I'll join you and Jane in the grinch club!

Many years ago I learned broke is almost a state of mind. It was many years ago but we managed and over the years broke turned away and I found the harder I worked the luckier I (we ) got. I do wish you a good holiday season and hope that fortune smiles on you in the near future.

Aw now Linda, You have friends here. We all care and you would get lots of cards if you put your name on the list too. But even if you don't, we all wish you a very very Merry Christmas! And you are welcome here too anytime, Tasha would love to see you for some good loving! And you can come visit Miss Sunday too! But she is not much for that loving stuff. No siree Bob, people eat little white horses ya know!?
yes.gif

Oh and I forgot to tell you, once I weaned Sunday, Tasha took to kicking the snot out of her when ever she tried to get close. That motherly love ended real quick! Poor baby!

Merry Christmas Linda! And don't worry about Christmas being tight, I have been there and there are a ton of things to do around this time of year that are absolutel free and fun. Christmas shows at churches and other places like that, lighting of the trees at various parks adn city halls. All sorts of fun stuff.

Go enjoy and have fun with the kiddos!

I can sure understand your problems as I'm on disability and it doesn't even cover day to day stuff , but I decided I'd have a good year anyway Next weekend we're going to get all of the kids in the clan together and do critter trees

How you enjoy Christmas shouldn't hinge on how much money you have. Remember what the season is for. Christmas comes from your heart, not from your wallet.

I hope you have a blessed and happy Christmas. And take up the invitations on here and go visit.

And I live about 5 minutes from Susanne!!! Christmas break starts on the 17th through the 2nd...which means I'll be home practically 24/7...when do you want to come over?! Chip and Tango could use some more hugs and kisses. And hey if you get to missing showing, they need ring experience too!
biggrin.gif
I'm pretty sure you have my number, but if not just email and I'll send it to you ( [email protected] ). Wishing you the best and hope to see your smiling face again real soon.

Erin, Chip, and Tango

My mom and I were just talking about much Christmas has changed from the "old" days. Now everyone goes into dept getting all the right "things". In the old days people were happy to get a new shirt or pair of shoes and handmade things were the rule. Sometimes I think we get too involved in collecting "things" and miss the true spirit of the Holiday. My favorite thing so far this year was being part of the card dump on Goose! Now that is the holiday spirit! I wish I lived closer......my horses never get enough butt scratching!

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and kindness...You all really helped make me feel better!! I also think that you somehow blessed me with your holiday spirit, because things have gotte alittle (well, alot) better recently...not financially, yet, but that will come...But, well.........I have someone new in my life...and she is amazing!! It's new and wonderful, of course, right now...and I know that not all new loves work out (my last relationship was a disaster...she was so toxic for me, but you know what? She gave me insight into myself and made me stronger and not want to "settle" for anyone who doesnt share the same wants and needs in life, so i dont regret having gone thru heck with her to get to where I am now!)

Just wish me well in this new relationship...because I am really happy right now!

Good Luck, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. PM me your address and I'll send you a card. I've got to get more made up so I'll be happy to send you one.

Christy

I think that if we learn anything from any relationship that it wasnt a waste no matter how disastrous it seemed. We are still ahead what we learned about ourselves.
