Now I remember why I like to Christmas shop early as possible: the crowds!

I really can't stand the crowds too much anymore. Must be getting claustrophobic.

I'm glad I went when I did.

I am so proud of myself. It went well and quite quickly too. I managed to get all the gifts in one department store that I had to get first, which are the ones that have to be mailed out of state for my step sons and their families. Whew! Tonight I'll be wrapping and have them ready to send in December. What a load off.

All I have left to shop for now is Jerry and the boys, my best friend back home in Connecticut, and my forum Secret Santa gal (who incidentally I LOVE ) and I hope to get that done by next weekend. Then the following weekend I shop for Thanksgiving Food! Love it.

Somewhere in all this, I'll be getting out my Christmas lights and stringing them up before it starts freezing again.

Who else started their shopping for Christmas?

What did you buy?

Oh I am sooooo glad I am not the only one already buying Christmas stuff....granted, I think everything so far is for me....haha..... I went to a holiday show & bought a wreath that looks like it's all iced over & a tree to match....I did my x-mas tree in all blue & clear lights & put all icicles & snowflakes (glass) ornaments on the tree..... so I braved the rain & wind & went out and bought more glass snowflakes today....had to take advantage of the one-day sale.......haha. I am ready to skip Turkey Day & start decorating for Christmas.....

Wish I could say I bought it all at one store though....and like you, I thought oh gosh the traffic & crowds are already making me sick......peoples patience & tempers are really showing out there on the roads.

I bought a few Christmas gifts a month ago when I drove 300 miles to pick up my weanling filly. I managed to get something for my MIL and my husband; good start, but still have alot to do. We usually go Christmas shopping in mid-December; we go and stay over night as it's 150 miles to get to the town where we do most of our shopping. Did I mention, we live in the middle of nowhere (there is a town 65 miles from here, but not great for Christmas shopping), so... We drive 150 miles to the nearest town with a Walmart and get it all done in less than one day. Whew!

Marty you are more brave than I.

I have 80% of my shopping done.. on line.

Mostly Hickory Farm stuff the Grandparents like. They have everything, so there is nothing they really want.. but love their food.

Have all the Nieces gifts done,, they are all getting Boyd bears.

My Nephew is older and much harder to buy for. Most likely he will be getting a gift card.

Have no idea what to get my own DS. He is old enough all he wants is those really spendy computer games. Sigh ~ ~

For DH... I haven't got a clue...

Im going to wait untill December 1'st. I might go next weekend though to get my parents gifts so they wont go with me and take away the fun of the suprise, bc if it snows in December ..they will be going with me and my license privilages are gone by december 1st.

I kind of like waiting untill December'ish because i love the crouds. It feels so warm and cozy knowing and really gets you into the holiday season. I just always loved it ..all us rednecks fill up walmart in 2 minutes! Its just really fun.

...on the other hand fighting through the crouds to get the last gameboy game for my nephew isnt what i call 'joyful'.

I've had my head deep in the sand, trying to pretend that Christmas is not just around the corner! Just haven't gotten the spirit yet......rainy weather is here and that usually helps though! Congrats to you all that plan ahead and start shopping in January. I'll probably get done the week before Christmas! Good luck to all!

I dont get many gifts in my fmaily we buy only for the kids they all have money (hmm what is wrong with that picture oh ya they dont have horses lol) so i figure there is nothing I can buy them they dont have and they would rather I spend the money on clothes and stuff for the kids so we make gifts for grandma and grandpa and uncle every year. Which i must admit is much more fun for the girls.

Anyway raven is DONE she was easy.. Kasey is almost done but a teen girl is so much harder - few friends are DONE now i just have my secret santa and a few more for friends and i am totally finished YIPPEE

I started Christmas shopping yesterday at Petco.

Got the dogs some toys and thats about all the shopping I have done so far. I like to go the day after Thanksgiving and get it all done in one day.

I started this weekend too at real stores. I also did a MAJOR Amazon purchase last week. I do all the buying for the grandparents too (so I know what the boys are getting)

I did my Christmas shopping online already for 3 people, but I still have a few other people to buy for....

I bought both girsl (ages 12 & 15) Ipod Nano's for Christmas. Ordered them online at the Apple Store and they were here in 2 days. Hubby bought himself a crossbow, arrows, target and a range finder already. That's his Christmas!! He might get a couple pairs of jeans and flannel shirts to unwrap, but that's it for him. Need to get gifts for MIL, FIL and my dad. Also need to do further shopping for the girls. They need to put together Christmas lists. They usually want CD's and I have no clue which ones. Also have to do my secret santa, but they haven't posted what they want yet.
