Can you say LIFE SIZE!

Let me warn you its very addictive.... its like chanel surfing taken to a whole new level. You will love the camera, I have the same one.

We had a monitor set up with a mare on it when some friends from Japan stopped for a visit. I could see Tomo glancing repeatedly at the small TV with a mare standing on it. After about 20 minutes, he said "Excuse me, but what channel is that, and what is the point of the program?" Loved it!

We have the Harbor freight camera, but don't have it up yet. Soon I hope, although I don't have any foals due before March.

The night vision on this camera is great! It covers most of the stall. It would cover more if I had a higher roof. It sits just over 6'. She can stand just out of sight. But if she went down she will be in camera. I can also see her from my kitchen window and my back door. The only thing that worries me and I don't know if she does this normally, but, she smacks her lips all the time. The sound is great on this camera too. She has nickered a few times. It is kind of sad her stall backs up to my stud pen and he hates it when she goes into the stall and he goes and stands behind his stall against the back of her stall. I guess he feels closer to her if he is back there.

Hi,

May I ask which Harbor Freight camera it is??? ( Big Harbor freight fan LOL) and can you hook up more than one camera?

Thanks

Joy

I'd like to hear more too please - I can't decide what to get - there are so many out there. You said you had it hard-wired to your tv?

We have a metal barn - and we're well over 300 feet from the house (which seems to be the standard distance they come) - so I have two factors to keep in mind while shopping for a system. I have found a few with a base of 500 feet - can't remember if your brand was one of them or not.

Have fun with it - sure will be nice for you - I need one soon! LOL

My camera came with 80' of wire. I don't know if you can connect more than one because I only need one camera. The camera is the Bunker Hill Color Security Camera.

This is the link (that I took from another thread) to the same camera I got. Nice picture and nice price. I know someone that spent well over $200 for theirs and it is no better than this one.

I am going to try and add asecond camera to my system this year. But last year I added a ton more wire to the length and it worked fine. Just the plain old telephone wire, from Walmart( or wherever). works fine.

I just ordered the four camera set up from Harbor Freight. I should be up and running by the first of next week. I have one mare due the end of the month and one mid March plus a dog due the end of Feb as well. Should be interesting to put the dog and the mares all up at the same time!

It doesn't say anything about multiple cameras.

I have a multiple camera unit I bough from Radio Shack but it was a leeeetle bit more pricey... and is wireless. A wired camera is so much more clear.

If it has the ability to hook up more than one or 2 more... I am in!!!

We have a wireless now with 4 cameras. I wonder if there is a way to put the monitor closer where the pictures would be more clear without so much interference and wire from it to a TV in the house. Worth checking into.

Is it fun?...

We set up our foal cam last year and we are looking forward to watch this year!...

We have 2 mares this year and I loved it..

I keep eye on them and knowing when the time get closer.

We bought our at Radio Shack and it is wire.

Have fun!..

I got this same camera last year and was happy with it. Mine came with two cameras but I only needed to use one but this year I think i'll need both, hopefully I can figure out if or how to be able to watch both at the same time.
