I was reading through our local paper this morning and turning to the next page :new_shocked: there is Aurora ! As most here know they travel everywhere with me, sometimes both ride in back. It is a sight when you stop at a light and both pop their heads out :bgrin the passenger window! This was when I ran in for coffee and a few Tim bits for her

at the bottom of picture it says........

You neverknow what you'll see on a coffee break in Hamilton. Aurora, a 16 year old Miniature horse, is certainly well traveled. Her owner says she goes everywhere with him in the back of his minivan, including making regular stops at an east end Tim Hortons.

That is neat! Were you expecting the newspaper to do that???

You just might be getting some phone-calls!

She looks like she is saying "where the heck is he with my TimBits?!" :bgrin

Well actually, I didn't know they travel with you, but that's really cool!

So how does that work? It says they travel in the back of your minivan - have the seats been taken out? How do they get up in there? Do they really live in your house? How does that work?

This is very interesting!!!

How funny!!! Tell her to 'buckle up' LOL

Bob...you are your furkids are too funny!

Tonto has been here many times in both your SUV vehicles,

Aurora once too as I recall

: but I didn't know they both fit in.

Timmy's is a favorite pitstop for most Canadians...why not minis too.

Keep enjoying your kids....see ya in Feb?

i'm with Pam, details details!!!

:bgrin :bgrin I have to sneak out of the house sometimes as if they hear the jingle of the keys, LOOK OUT! it's a mad dash to the truck and jump right in! :bgrin Nothin but the best for these ones, they are very special to me, as both are rescues. Aurora is due to foal mid March, so I'm going to have to listen to Little hooves running around here

I have two 8X8 stalls in the garage and can still park in there also, they do stay outside most time and when they want attention they'll stand at the back door looking in with that look! This pic is my fav as now Tonto knows he is too big to sleep in the bed upstairs and now sleeps on the floor at the foot of my bed every night! At 10:30 pm he flies up the stairs and waits for me and Aurora will spawl out in the living room floor!

OK I'll bite...............Do they ever poop or pee in the house? If not, how did you train them not to???

like you do a dog, if you notice they always snif when they go out in the pasture. When he did do it once and once onlyI grabed his head while he was sniffing and stuck his nose in it and yelled NO in a firm voice! No problem since! :aktion033: they are smarter than you really think!!!

I have been doing this now for over 30 years~!

Well I can't say they never have had an accident. But very very rarely. Now on the other hand I Did have them pretty well housebroke, after looking and observing say making fidgeting like maybe a small child might do lifting one leg, then the other one
default_rolleyes.gif
: I would then let them out soon they associated going out with going to the door like a dog might do when wanting "out".

Now I am really thinking of writing a book and call it "How To Housebreak Your Horse" As I have tons more pics then what is on that one picture site.

And just in case you did not go there I DON"T only bring horses in the house, but here is a mini donkey inside watching TV as well~!

And the one below that is not a mini horse, not a pony, not a donkey, BUT a 7 Month Old Purebred Arabian Filly~!! No Halter, no Rope, nothing, just walking around the kitchen, And Those pics were printed in a national Arabian magazine~!!

And NOW that we have You Tube etc. I guess I will have to get my TV Interview on the NET~!! Yes I was on our local 10 O'Clock newscast they interviewed me with my Housebroken horse~!

Can we see pix of Tonto and Aurora in the house? Please?! How do they handle needing rest room visits during the night?

If Mercy were in the house, she would climb into the bed. Don't think I want to try that!

Glad we have Tim Horton's in the US now...my dad's side of the family is 100% Canadian and I think it is in my blood to need a "Timmy" fix. Dad jokes and says I don't have blood in my veins - it is antifreeze as I love the cold and snow. He is a California transplant now and doesn't like the cold but he loves good donuts! Pass the TimBits!

LOL!!! That is TOO funny, Bob!! Actually a friend of mine called this afternoon to ask if I had seen the Spectator because there's a picture of a mini in a mini van! I thought, who else COULD it be other than you?! Dont' forget to send that to the MHCO to put up on the site, if you haven't done that already.

Happy New Year, Bob!
