I am sorry for your loss, I just lost my TB gelding 6 weeks ago to Lymphosarcoma (cancer). He was young, only 9, he was gone within a week of showing any symptoms
I am so sorry for your loss. We made the heart renching desision to put our beloved Fraser ( he was an arabian as well ) down over a year ago. He had developed cancer also - or so the vet figured. The heart break was unimaginable, I feel for you. Lori

She always greeting us and she had her head up all the time, She was being sick off and on but the vets did not know what was wrong and we had give her some meds . When we got her she had a big crusty spot by her poll and the people that we got her from did not say what that spot was and we had her for 2 years and we just found out what she died of, she died of skin cancer called (Melanoma)that is common in the arabian breed.
